Think I need to start a list for each day as I tend to get more done that way.
Hope everything is ok with you.0 -
Morning, we got rain today
it’s still cold but the snow appears to be going slowly; more rain is predicted too.
Haven’t updated for the past couple of days as it’s been hectic with the snow and the kids school run etc, but I’m back today.
Made a start on the surveys again the past few days even DH has been bitten by the bug again and has made an effort to get some done. Lucky thing even managed to redeem £3 from Lightspeed! Lol
So on to today, my plan is as follows:- Drop kids off at school – DS doing 9.30-3pm today gggrrrr - Done
- Market for veg - Done
- Boots to top up on toiletries - Done
- Clean bathroom - Not done, concentrated on washing instead
- Wash up - Done
- Sort something out for dinner - Done
- Washing to be done - Done waiting for more to dry
The NSD’s are working out well this week 4 so far, I haven’t bought anything unnecessary and if I have bought anything it is needed i.e groceries and I have kept that to the minimum £15 so far.
DH gets paid tomorrow and I cannot wait, I want this ‘month’ so to speak to have some money left over in the account. I know that DH has his birthday coming up and have made allowances for that sort of.
Right off to get motivated and get something done before we trudge off to school.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Everything looking great there ...I couldn't live without a drier either...and at least you remembered to go through quidco.0

Pay day and new ‘month’. Okay so it isn’t exactly February yet but it is the end of the January pay for DH and the start of February pay for him.
Even though I didn’t clean the bathroom yesterday I did however clean the hob so I did achieve something.
Plan for today is as follows:- Change beds - Done
- Hoover upstairs - Done
- Clean bathroom - Done
- Sort washing out and put away
- Clean microwave
- Surveys to be done
- Washing to finish
Whilst I was in the next town buying the toiletries yesterday I did some investigating round Wilkinsons and Poundland to see if there is anything there that I could get cheaper per month then what I order from Asda. Next week when I go I might sneakily take a pad and pen and write them down.
Taxi – I hate having to use the tumble drier despite not really being able to live without it; I only persuaded DH to buy one when DS was little because I’d always wanted one. I can’t wait until the better weather starts and I can hang stuff out in the garden to dry…I love the smell of the clothes when they are ‘air dried’ outside.
Off to get motivated, have a good day everyone.0 -
Monday morning and not a hint of snow anywhere and it’s supposed to be fairly mild out there to boot

Had a reasonably quiet weekend and now I’m all set for a week of debt busting and de-cluttering.
The tumble dryer arrived yesterday and was immediately in use once DH had unpacked it.
This morning I need to go to Debenhams and sort out the curtains for our bedroom and then I need to find a net curtain too. The money that mum gave us she wants us to buy new nets for all the windows but they aren’t needed, so depending on how much the curtains and net cost us I will think of something else to do with any remaining money.
Ordered DH’s birthday present £40 spent there.
I managed to get some surveys done this weekend and need to get more done this week.
Nearly forgot to mention I got two £2 coins of DH on Saturday and I also got a £2 coin yesterday these have gone into the money pot
DS has his climbing club tonight, £8.95 per week and as long as we can keep up with the NSD’s etc we can afford for him to keep going as he really enjoys it and it does his confidence a power of good.
Right off to get motivated and get the kids dressed and ready for school.
Have a good day everyone.0 -

All sounding good there Tea.
I also like to line dry mine when possible but in winter it's near impossible but always good to have it available if needs be.0 -
Hi Tea,
I had a tumble drier when DD was tiny & used it so much, it blew up a couple of years ago & as it's just the 2 of us I can get things dry over the weekend sao didnt bother to replace it ... certainly coudnt manage with 4 people though. Great that your DS enjoys the climbing too

Morning I am on form today. So far I’ve got the chicken out the freezer to defrost for dinner tonight and I’ve already decided what we are having with it, got DS’s school bag and PE bag ready and opened the windows to let some air in and freshen up the place whilst I am at Physio this morning.
I need to get some milk and some petrol today, I am only going to put in £25 worth as the price of petrol is diabolical at the moment and as I walk most places it will probably last me a fair while. I will be classing today as a NSD as milk and petrol are a necessity, the petrol is at the moment as I need it to get the kids to their respective places on time first thing in the morning.
I have to do the thank you letters today for the family otherwise we’ll get criticised by some of DH family.
I am going to change the nets back round, the new one I bought for the bedroom will go downstairs into the lounge and the one in the lounge that used to be in the bedroom will go back in the bedroom.
Right off to get motivated and get the washing up done.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Afternoon busy, busy but thought I’d nip on here before I go and pick up DS from school.
Been to Physio and she is pleased with how I am progressing, she’s given me some stretching exercises for my ‘bad’ leg that had the brunt of the nerve damage and causes me no end of problems at night due to cramp, hopefully they will help. I’ve got to go back next week.
I’ve cleaned the hob and put a load in the washing machine, second load due to go in shortly.
Have changed nets around and it looks better now in the lounge as there’s more light coming in.
Been through both kids money boxes and changed any shrapnel to coinage and notes; said shrapnel is now in the demi-john which is building up nicely.
I noticed on the calendar that next week is the last full week of January  and although I have done most of my list there are still some to be done, so my priority next week is to complete the list in between doing normal housework stuff. By the end of next week I want to have compiled my second list ready for February of jobs that need completing….Old Style board had better watch out, I’m going to be doing the Flylady thread soon once I have all the carp sorted out in the house instead of just dipping in and out of it every once in a while.0
