  • Just had a thought....I wonder if it is possible to set up a DD to Cheltenham & Gloucester so that the £30 per month extra payment automatically comes out to the loan? May need some investigating me thinks!

Don't ask me why but I have a feeling it's a standing order you'd need? Don't quote me on that though!

  • Okay, I have been stupid  and again not kept up with my diary….very naughty! I have made a right hash of this one when my first one was going so well.

So time for a fresh start and a catch up on my activity, so that I know where I am going wrong.

The Summer holidays are nearly over, DH has had two weeks off during the holidays and when he’s been in Norwich the kids and I have spent some time up there with him, which although good has cost a lot of money :o

DS goes back to school next Thursday, of which I am grateful as he’s in need of a routine again. DD starts school on the 13th September which I think will be good for her.

Good news, I got a job :) which starts on the 6th September, my friend has said she’ll look after DD whilst I work and won’t charge me the earth either. I neglected to ask the lady when payday was, so won’t quite know where I am money wise until it comes in but should be an extra £200 once my friend has been paid.

I need to work out figures so that I know where I am financially. I am aiming to save £100 per week in the build up to Christmas and then once the new year starts I am hoping to increase this amount.

Back shortly whilst I do some calculations.
  • Back again, finances looked at and a severe kick up the backside done :o

I need to start with the NSD’s again and limiting just how much I spend if we are to survive the next 15 days until DH gets paid again.

I have been using the car again much too much and this needs looking at and reducing, one good thing about DS going to school is that we’ll be walking there and back and I will only use my car then for work and climbing club. We don’t use my car when DH is at home, which secretly I think annoys the neighbours as they can’t use my space lol…yes parking is ‘that’ bad and petty down the road I live

I can possibly achieve 4 NSD’s next week as I need to catch up with the housework; DH is away Wednesday night so I am planning to do the ironing that night, one less thing crossed off the list.

I need to meal plan again as we’ve been a bit lax on this recently, mainly because DH has been lodging away. This will be one of my chores for Tuesday.

Right need to get the washing up done, feeding time sorted, washing to be done and then the kids and I are off to meet a friend of mine this afternoon.

Thanks :) The job is serving kids at lunchtime in a school, 10 hours a week but hopefully will give me enough experience that I can apply for other local school jobs next year.

Today I am aiming for a NSD :) I have joined the September NSD Challenge and I am aiming for 10 but really hoping that I will achieve more than that.

Right off to get motivated and get some housework done.

Will update later if I get chance.
  • Back again, twice in one day must be a good thing (for me anyway).

Housework hasn’t quite gone to plan today; although the washing is now reasonably up to date, last load in the washer now. I have been through the freezer and have managed to concoct a reasonable meal plan for the next few weeks.

I have been contacted by my new boss to confirm my start date is the 6th September :D so very happy about that.

On the upside DS has lost his second baby tooth :) in two days, he seems pleased as punch about it. I only gave him 50p for the last one and the same for this one this evening; I was astounded when I spoke to my SiL her Grandkids get £1 for the little teeth and £5 per back tooth

Did go in to Tesco’s for a few bits but was very restrained and spent £5.47 on much needed bits and spent £6.33 on some Nurofen Plus for DH who’s in a bit of pain at the moment but refuses to go back to the Doctors’ to get it looked at again….Men!

    Have a good evening everyone.
