Morning diary, lurkers and posters. Should be another nice day today, need to get some washing out to dry and make the most of this warm weather.
Need to get on and get motivated on the cushion covers etc…I am trying a different approach and am making napkins and table cloths as I have the fabric there. I am aiming to get as many done this week as possible and then uploaded on to my Facebook fan page and E-bay. I need some ideas on how to promote what I do a bit more to generate some interest so that needs some thought.
Climbing was good for DS last night, for a change there was more than just him at the club…no money spent there as took drinks with us.
Have had a look at the daily clicks link on Hypno’s thread and it looks very interesting however having done daily clicks in the past I soon got tired of it all but will have another look and see if there’s anything worth doing on the main two sites I use.
Off to get motivated and I will try to update later today, have a good day everyone.0 -
Have a good day yourself x0

What a day today is going to be…DS woke up in the foulest of moods; thank god he’s going to school today.
I managed to get all the napkins and table cloths done yesterday that I wanted to do, although I still have some more to do but need to cut them out first. I have updated my Facebook page and have spread the word around a bit more and have managed to get some more fans…whether this will help or not I have no idea.
DH’s car is due to come back today, but having used the repairers in the past it is likely to be the weekend before it is actually ready, but we’ll see.
I have a few things to get done today:- Pick DH’s suit up from the drycleaners
- Tesco’s for milk
- Battery for car key – any idea where I can get one from???
- Chemist for Nytol for DH
- Cut out more napkins/table cloths from fabric to make up
Have listed some fabric on e-bay again that I sold last time, hopefully they will sell.
NSD yesterday
so that side of things is creeping up slowly…still need more though.
Have a good day everyone.0 -

I thought that I should place an update on my diary as not only has it been sporadic but I’ve been AWOL for the last month or so.
I have had to ‘lie low’ due to my diary being stumbled upon and read by certain members of the family, which has resulted in a lot of criticism and back stabbing…(if you are reading this, I have had time to think and SOD YOU ALL!!)
I have in the time that I have been away also had trouble with the laptop internet connection which appears not to have been our fault but Virgin Media’s; all seems back to normal now on that side of things.
In the past few weeks I have wondered if ‘they’ were right that I am stupid enough to put it online for anyone to see and to be honest….probably; but I am now past caring.
So…I need to assess the collateral damage on the finances side of things, which are looking very dire indeed as I had literally given up, so I believe that the debt might have increased…slightly.
On the work side of things, DH is currently on site in Norwich which is taking its toll both on the finances (Petrol) and the car (mileage) but a job is a job at the end of the day.
House side of things…I have a very good friend and we are currently ‘sharing’ house work; we do a day at each others house and we get both houses in reasonable condition in a fraction of the time.
Will sort through the finances and see where we stand with things and then I can get to grips with getting it back on track.0 -
Welcome back..nice to see you.
Sod em as you say....I don't think many people you know would know that it's you posting as your user name doesn't give anything away.
If they are/were on this site perhaps they are in debt too and it's nothing to be ashamed of and if it helps you at the end of the day posting then I'd carry on xxxx0 -
We have probably committed suicide as we have had to take an advance on the mortgage to pay off existing debts
…not a decision either of us took lightly but will give us some breathing space and free up some money each month.
I need to write this down so that I know where we are up to.
The ‘Loan’ is for £22,000 and has been added to the mortgage. This will pay off the existing car loan of £7,700 and the Credit card of £14,201; technically we will be debt free but on paper we won’t if that makes sense?
I am hoping to go back to work once DD goes to school full time, there are plenty of local school jobs going so finding one hopefully won’t be a problem; this will help too.
The overdraft is nearly where it was a few months ago but mainly because of all the travelling and petrol DH has needed for work, so that needs clamping down and sorting.
Once we have the money in the bank and the two major expenses are paid off, I can then think of a way that we can put money aside for the ‘Loan’ so that we can pay it off early, without crippling ourselves like before.
I am hoping that there will be £55 to come from More Than for Home Insurance taken out via Quidco and we have £45 in Paypal that I can redeem.
Will be back shortly am thinking as I go along.0 -
The main thing now is not to run up any more debt so that you don't get in it any further...if you can do that it's not financial suicide.
When does DD start school?...0 -
Wow big decision there.
Not sure what to say; we don't have the mortgage situation to contend with as yet but I can see the logic in what you have done. My initial thoughts are to maybe after budgeting use as much of the 'free' money as you can to throw back at what you've borrowed?
Nice to see you back xDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Thanks for the support, I’ve been feeling a bit guilty all day about us doing this but we cannot see any other way out at the moment and once I do start back at work again this will help to make things easier.
DD starts school in September but am unsure of when she will go full time yet; I have two weeks and then I should hopefully have start dates to hand so I can then look in earnest.
Before the loan we were paying: £379 in repayments for the pair, once we have cleared them we will be paying £148.34. We will still have to be strict and be careful not to overspend as we will need to play catch up with the overdraft, this hopefully shouldn’t be a problem. Every month we will have approximately £230 left over of which I am initially aiming to put £30 into an account and then once a year make a payment to the Loan and then I hope this will knock the loan on the head a bit quicker.
I need to buy school uniforms and shoes etc for the kids before they go back to/start school in September so I think the extra repayments will have to wait until I get those sorted.
I think that this makes sense? It’s just random rambling but it’s sort of clear in my head.0
