Well done on sorting the tv licence out and only having a small shortfall..sure you can recoup that
  • What a nice sunny day, DH is working at the flying club today so won’t be back until late and the kids are entertaining themselves…bliss! :D

Didn’t do all my list yesterday but the majority of it did get done so not too bad on that side of things.

I need to get more washing out on the line today; there are some clothes that were still damp from yesterday so they need to go back out too to finish off drying and I have some washing up that needs doing.

I have promised the kids that I will take them to the park this afternoon, so am going to take a couple of drinks with us as I think it might get a little warm later.

On the NSD front, yesterday was one and today will be one as we don’t need anything. I am aiming for 5 NSD’s next week, which should nothing major crop up will be achieveable.

I am in the process of looking about for cheaper home insurance, so far the only quote I’ve found will save us about £20 for the year, will wait and see what the renewal is like from Esure first before we switch.

On DH’s work side of things, there has been a rumour that they will put their salaries back up to what they were at Christmas should business pick up, so hopefully things are looking up that way.

Right off to get motivated, have a good day everyone.

That sounds quite positive all around.
Hope you had a lovely day and heres hoping DHs wages get put back up again.
  • Happy Sunday peeps :)

The sun is duly shining here today and we have not very much planned today so should be a nice relaxing day before the hectic school runs begin in earnest tomorrow.

I have £10 in my purse, which I am going to try and keep hold of as much as possible.

I envisage that we will take the kids out on their bikes today round the airfield and then they will probably play out in the garden.

I need to fill the car up and draw some money out of the bank (to cover DS’s climbing for the month) tomorrow.

    Have a good day everyone.

It’s Monday and my two go back to their respective schools today so I get my sanity back :D DH is at Head Office from today and is due to talk to his manager to discuss the new site and possible lodging away; he said that although he doesn’t want to lodge away, if there is no other option he will do it but he will be talking to the other companies he knows who are looking for people.

Anyway on to today, I have a lot of stuff that needs doing today, list is as follows:
    • Dump - Done
    • Washing up - Done
    • Dry cleaners with DH suit - Done
    • Change kids beds - Done
    • Hoover upstairs - Done
    • Sort fabric out
    • Climbing club with DS – need to draw money out of bank for the month for this
    • Sort out kids clothes
I have a lot that needs doing for the week, so I will list this separately.
    • Declutter kitchen/dining room
    • Sort paperwork
    • E-bay
    • Washing and hang outside to dry
    • Ironing to catch up on
    • 5 NSD’s
    • Meal plan for the week
    • Surveys as and when I can
    • Hob/microwave and oven to clean
    • Fridge to degunk and clean
I’m sure that there is more and will add to the list as I go along.

Had a really good day yesterday, we took the kids out on their bikes in the morning and then we had lunch at home and then we went climbing and then DH treated us to dinner down the pub; the kids went to bed suitably knackered out; the best thing is that my £10 is still intact and only DH spent money, so I guess you could say that yesterday was NSD for me too :)

    Have a fabby Monday everyone.
  • Just an update so that I know where I am today. The battery on my car key has gone dead having dismantled the key I now have the battery so can get a new one.

DH is using the car tomorrow so he can go to the new site, so I am left with the courtesy car which if they bring back DH's car tomorrow won't be a problem.

Had the bill through to pay the excess for DD for her consultation so £100 there to come out.

NSD today for me so not too bad all in all.

Had a letter from the bank stating that they note that we've been using the overdraft a lot and that if there is any way they can help to go in a see them....last time we did that they were going to charge us more to switch accounts and give us carp on that account that we wouldn't use.
