Also worth noting that pre-payment meter customers will be paying the same rate as credit customers.
Will be interesting to see how many still post about how expensive gas is and how much they have to put on their keys/cards each day - we will all feel the same pain now, just in different ways!0 -
where do us online tarriff customers stand
as far as i can see there is no change in our prices
but on the website it clearly states
British Gas today and receive a minimum 6% discount against our Standard tariff rates until 28th February 2011:T:money::T0 -
It is just the standard tariff, and who is on that anyway?0

British Gas (BG) has today cut the cost of standard gas tariffs by an average 7%, in a move which could spark an energy price war.
However, the price reductions do not apply to its cheaper, online tariffs nor to electricity costs (see the Cheap Gas & Electricity guide).
BG says it plans to launch a new online tariff later today which will incorporate price cuts but that won't help those on an existing web-based deal. MoneySavingExpert.com broke the news on Tuesday that the energy giant was planning to cut prices (see the British Gas cuts MSE News story).
From the OP at top of page.
So if you`re already locked into a tariff, that`s it until whatever date you have expires and you can switch to another rate.
The Websavers usually lock you in for six months.0 -
We moved from standard British Gas (gas and electric) to their 'Web saver 5' tariff a few weeks ago.
Does this mean we won't be affected? We are always in about £100 credit as it is so surely we should have our dd's lowered at least?0 -
Oh just read that our prices will stay the same.
Away from that does anyone know where we stand regarding refunds in terms of credit we have built up? For over a year we have been in about £100 credit for gas and £105 for electric.
Our Direct Debits are already low (£20 & £20) but surely thats not the point?0 -
On BG website it says =
