Ok I definately need to get in on this - one of my new years resos is to be more organised with the house.

I have 3 boys - 7,5 and 10mths old :) Baby is at the 'cant take your eye's off him' stage. he even can climb out of his highchair and his baby car thingy that I htought would be great for keeping him occupied for 5 mins while I did bits and bobs - nope :(

Had a very lovely lazy holiday and still surrounded by all the boys toys from xmas so need to get into gear. i did do a pre xmas clean and clear out though so things are at least cleanish still.

2 more days till Oh goes back to work and one of those is a day out planned to thomas land soooo - the list to do before Monday :) means done. Anything not done can roll over to next week.

    1 - Ironing/Clothes
    2 - Washing/Drying :)
    3 - Surface clean bathroom
    4 - Surface clean kitchen
5 - Replace kettle and toaster
6 - Sort the boys toys to go in their room
7 - Buy big storage boxes for boys rooms
    8 - Take decorations down
9 - Take tree and recycling to tip -delegate to hubby lol
    10 - Declutter my room
    11 - Paperwork
12 - Take boys for haircuts
13 - Wii fit (putting this on so i commit to doing it lol)

Ooh gosh you all look so busy!

I do sort of go with Flylady but just fit in what i can (or what i think I would like to do!!).

Every day has things like the washing, washing up (x2) and 15minutes in my "zone". And I must say when I stick to it I almost like my house.

I spruced up the hallway a bit today (well, I hoovered it, and cleared off the noticeboard and washed the light switches). It does look more inviting.

Any tips for a lazy bones like me??

    hiya all

today i have sorted through the ironing pile and threw out all the odd socks and bits and pieces in the basket that have been there forever!!! Also done a bit of ironing, washing and cleaned the bathroom (although it does need a proper thorough scrub next week!) and i think thats it.

Shine the sink was the only thing I ever did from the flylady website (I just deleted all the emails without reading them). I tend to nip onto the flylady thread on old style boards for ideas of the days cleaning. Will be back doing that Monday without fail!

Hello everyone - can I join too please?

I have to be a working mummy as of Monday but my contract ends on the 31st October so I may yet end up being a SAHM again. And I do love the idea of a daily list thread since lists are my guiltiest pleasure :)

Today, for us, is the last day of our Christmas holiday staying with my parents, so the tasks are:

    - put next year's Christmas stuff in the loft out of their way
    - idiot check the loft to make sure none of my stuff is up there
    - finish packing the cases/carryon bags
    - seal the boxes for shipping
    - check their weights and dimensions
    - figure out how to fold/unfold the pushchair

    and tomorrow:

    - final packing of carryons
    - return stuff to Next
    - fly home!!!!

    Hi

2010 is also my year to get organised. I have 3 boys 9, 7, 9mths and I am expecting baby 4 in June. We have been doing a fair few DIY jobs over christmas, in a bid to organise the house better....I think it is beginning to work, I just need to spend a bit of money now to buy all sorts of storage...under bed, cube wicker/leather boxes, linen baskets, toolboxes, bookshelves, dvd rack!!!!

We just managed to get the boys room done before christmas (except a carpet) So basically all of upstairs is fine, just needs keeping on top of and I am planning on decorating throughout downstairs before June....

    My Plan
1 - Write out 3 plans:) (downstairs decorating jobs, upstairs 'cleaning' jobs, birthday/christmas present list)

Rainbow - Have you tried online shopping instead, I have done it for the past 5yrs and I would NEVER go back to traipsing round supermarkets, especially with the kids!!!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

    Happy New Organised/Clean Year everyone!
Haven't done too badly today, considering I didn't get to bed until 4.30 am today and have cooked a big family meal! I have done a couple of loads of washing, cleaned my kitchen and bathroom,deep-cleaned my microwave, changed beds and sorted out all school uniform/pe kit for monday. Some of that was on my motivatedmom list some not,but it had to be done and as long as I put in a couple of hours work a day until the kids go back I am going to be flexible. Start properly on monday when I have the house to myself!

Charlotte I would be very happy to do the email thing-anything to keep my nose to the grindstone!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
  • hello all, may i hop in?

I am expecting my second child in a matter of weeks! and have DS who is nearly 3. All the christmas stuff was put away and had a mad sort out of lounge and toys, cleaned the walls and paint work, but have over done it and have killer back ache going for a hot bath. Going to tackle upstairs 2mow.

Love the advice and help, as i had pnd when had my son which got worse last year so will hopefully this will help on my bad days.
