    Hello to one and all

Is there any room for a little one?
    I promise I'm house trained.....

I'm a SAHM2B, am currently 12 weeks pregnant, not working due to relocation to far end of the galaxy (ok so from Kent to County Durham), so far have not really enjoyed pregnancy, as had been sick all the way through so far and just starting to feel "ok-ish" past two days.
I need to be much more organised in our current shared house, and motivate myself to start doing more now that im starting to feel better, also I know from much reading, that being a sit on your backside bum whilst pregnant makes for all sorts of things to be more painful LOL so I though if I could start now, get into good habits, i'd be doing myself a favour.

Today did one of the two things planned.
Done food shopping and meal plan for week

Tomorrow however need to complete my housing register application to try and get council housing.....doing it online so not a massive problem....and change bed linen and get that washed, and tidy our bedroom.
Having only recently moved in, its all a bit chaotic....

Monday need to go into town and register for library, do scan for jobs for dh, and then I want to be really ruthless with my wardrobe as well, and do a thorough sort out and chuck out.

Tuesday - take booty from monday into charity shops in town.
Would also like to try and do some baking, cant keep buying muffins when out. And need to clean bathroom as well.

Trying to try and find things to do that mean leaving the house once a day, hard at the moment due to snow, and feeling rubbish, but am trying.....

oh lots of ladies with bumpies!, don't think I'm nesting just trying to get things ready before DH goes back to work and baby comes.

Today I completly cleaned the bathroom doesn't sound a lot but scrubbed the titles and floor. I also emptied out the cupboards with old creams and stuff. cleaned every where.

I have a wooden crib I got from a carboot any advice on how to clean it ready for the baby? was thinking hot soapie water and scrub down. I got a new matress last week but DH is a bit unsure about using it because its second hand ( bit fussy bloke )

I'd say hot soapy water would be fine...... and give it plenty of time to air dry....
Perhaps if DH is really paranoid a touch of dettol in the water maybe? I dont think it would stain.....
Only other thing I can think of would be making sure you get a brand new mattress for it

id make sure it was pretty dilute just in case of staining, a cap full to a bucket of water should be enough....

We got one off ebay for £1 lol and OH was the same I scrubbed it with hot soapy water and it was fine. Though I did tell OH I cleaned it with chemicals, but I was too worried incase the smell stayed on the wood.

    Can I squeeze in!!!

Im a SAHM mum to two boys, one just turned 8 and one who will be 2.5 next month. DS1 obviously at school all day and DS2 starting rising 3's mid Jan which will be 3 mornings a week. My plan is to use his time away to get the house work done as hes a wee devil and while I clear up he pulls it all out again!!

So will be doing school run first thing then drop DS2 half hour later, rush home do jobs, back for DS2, home for his lunch and then straight down for a nap (he still really needs a nap everyday) and while hes napping I want to use this time to use my Wii Fit Plus. SIL getting married in June and want to shape up a bit for that and not be the 'larger' relative in all the pics!!! Then get DS2 up and back on school run to pick up DS1.

So far for school going back on Tues, I have the school bag ready, just needs snack and packed lunch going in, gym kit washed and back in gym back and all school uniform washed and ready to wear. Im not an ironer but want to try to make more of an effort to do the school stuff altho its polo shirts not crisp shirts so not too bad.
Bringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!

Today is a bit of a DIY day. We've done the hole filling and prep work in DS3's room, now today is paint day (as well as "put up the curtain rod" day). :j It's so nice to see the room starting to look better. He's not going in there at night for 3-4 weeks, but once it's painted and carpeted and ready to go, I'll probably move his dresser and such into the room, which will free up a bit of space in our room! My diverticular disease is causing some pain today, so not sure how much I'll do or how much I'll leave to DH and rest for a bit.

    Today's list:
    - morning washing up (DONE)
    - laundry (washing now)
    - bottles (washed, sterilised, made for day - DONE)
    - set up standing orders for DH's DMP
    - put together SOA to attach to letters to send to creditors for DH's DMP
    - check bank balance
    - beef curry for tea tonight (DH cooking)
    - finish putting away clean clothing
MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)

  • Hi, I'm going to join you guys if that's ok.

I'm currently a stay at home mum to my 2 boys. DS1 is 2 on Friday, and DS2 is 2 months. We also have 2 dogs and a German Shepherd and are in the middle of decorating so it's pretty hectic in our house. Oh, and DH and I have just signed up for a 10k run in September  At te moment I can't even run to the loo :rotfl:

I'm going to put my list on here of what I need to do before DS1's birthday on Friday:

    Clear washing basket
    Clear ironing pile
Make birthday cake (I may cheat and buy one if it doesn't turn out well)
Put up DS2's cot in our room (he's too big for his moses basket)
Sort out DS2's clothes that are too small for him. Put the nice ones in piles for car boot and Ebay, and put the not as nice ones in bags for Freecycle.
    Buy paint for DS playroom
Put together DS1 birthday present and try and wrap it
Think that's enough to be going on with for this week :rotfl:
Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4
