I was thinking that maybe we could once a week have a chat on this thread about a certain topic and see if we really can help each other be organised SAHM's by the end of the year?
I really am interested in sharing the things that I think I do well and listening to others about things I don't.
Topics I have thought of (off the top of my head) are:
Menu planning, Food Shopping, Your quick I have no time meals, sharing a cleaning routine, laundry etc etc
With each topic we could share what we do now, what we would like to be doing, our top tips, best product you've tried, homemade recipes, etc...
What does everyone think?:think:2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.
Mortgage @ 31/12/23 £248k - too high, interest rate gone up - want this down asap!
Debt @ 31/12/23 £16k - no interest - will clear over 5 years hopefully.
Emergency savings £4k - been ransacked over last year - needs attention :-(0 -

Can I join please? I'm a SAHM with 2 girls aged 3.5 years and 18 months. I've always been very untidy and disorganised but wasn't quite as bad before we had children.
We've been trying to do a big declutter over the last few days, sorting out the girls' clothes and toys. I'm a hoarder as is OH and we just seem to have so much stuff.
I need to
1. Phone optician
2. Write thank you letters
3. Meal plan to use up food in fridge.0 -
1 - ironing
2 - DLA form
3 - kids room
4 - sort out jackets and shoes
4 - move craft boxes from hall
5 - shed paperwork
Thats enough I think. DS2 was poorly with D&V during the night so will have to play it by ear mostly.0 -
