    Evenin' all...

Well well I had a toddler round yesterday and the living room looks like a bomb's hit it! Scared I'm gonna let it all slide again but I'm gonna do a 5 minute room rescue while DS gets ready for bed.

Just maintenance cleaning today, I took DS to town to get a DAB radio with free Argos vouchers, I went fancy as it was free and spent £100  in vouchers. It is lovely though.

    What I did today:

    - [STRIKE]washing up[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]load of washing on[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]hang wet washing up and put dry washing away[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]exercise DVD[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]town with DS[/STRIKE] (not a pleasure so belongs on the list)

I'll try and do a bit more tomorrow, promise!

MOTM - I read your thread about your daughter but had no advice, just hope it gets sorted.

  • Noce to see everyone still keeping ontop of things nearly a month into the year!!!

I've been shopping twice and have oen some washing and got daughters bed in her room.
I am not going to do much else the night.

Can I just tell you a sad sight I saw today? A couple smoking right over a young child (about 1 1/2) but thats not the sad bit (although it is) she had nothing on her feet :( I was freezing. My daughter had on tights and socks and 4 blankets. It was dark and really cold. I despair for these poor kids. She didnt even have a blanket - just sat there in an anorak with these bare feet.

Stuff like that makes me really angry, I hate to see kids out not covered up properly, especially when parents are wearing hats, coats, gloves etc
Unfortunately I've seen much worse though...

Have been rather rubbish this weekend. OH did not get his chicken pie on Friday night because I CBA and the soup is still at stock stage. GOing to attempt those today though as everything's still in the fridge.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Only 11 days late...

Good luck, they really are better out than in at the end, aren't they?

You are good making pies, I used pregnancy as an excuse to sit on my ever expanding bottom!

Today I have a friend coming round for dinner so should be good, me and Aunt Bessie are doing a roast.

    My list:
    - [STRIKE]load of washing on[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]dry washing away and wet washing hung[/STRIKE]
    - put DS's old curtains in the garage
    - [STRIKE]empty kitchen and bathroom bins[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]washing up[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]make a tasty roast[/STRIKE]

DS has declined a trip to the park so just staying near the house today.

Good luck to all the pregnant ladies, how exciting!

Better to do that before labour rather than during ;)

Good luck all you pregnant ladies :)

Today's major tasks will be to move a suitcase to somewhere where it isn't annoying me, ditto with the bags of cat litter from our now-deceased cat, and decide which bed I want to buy.

Other than that I'm too tired to think about cleaning anything after yesterday so will mostly just be smiling sleepily at my small monster, who is in her door bouncer amusing herself at the moment (after almost clawing my eyes out this morning).

Soup is made, pie filling made though not pastry as I don't have a suitable dish for it so will have to think about that...
Got to go to Tesco in a bit so may see if they have foil pie trays...

House still amazingly tidy... boys are at Auntie's until tea-time and all I HAVE to do today is the shopping.

Not holding out much hope for on on-time baby as others were both a week late, but have had a LOT of twinges and possible "show" so you never know - with the others it was nothing at all until way after due date.

Just bought DH a phone off ebay for £6, (he did have a much bigger budget but decided he wanted toys for his AirGun instead...) so we can switch him off his £25 t-mob contract to a cheap Vodafone one cos he never uses it anyway and gets no signal anywhere with them.
We'll save money there so all good, plus possilble Quidco £15.
    See, I'm still being organised!

  • Hey everyone, how are you all?
been a hectic weekend here so far -
i had my new tumble dryer delivered last week and have discovered its damaged today

but comet have been really good and sending me a new one next week :j
today is get rid of everything we dont need / use day. DH has already been to the tip to get rid of a few bits, i've got to go through some stuff as may be doing a car boot next weekend to raise some money for our skydive.

Iheart, when DD was little she used to find it incredibly amusing to take her shoes and socks off and stick her feet out of the top of her cosy toes, i used to feel so bad that everyone was thinking ''oh that poor child''! but in my defense she had loads of other clothes and blankets on lol

Ragz, neither of mine have arrived on due date, dd was 2 days late and DS was 8 days late (despite me falling down stairs and breaking my back at 40+1) typical lazy boy :) hope your not too uncomfortable there! x

jimjams, hope you get that nesting instinct soon!

well i best get started on lunch!
Can you see the mountains through the fog?
