    Wow rainbow, you've been productive!

    I have:

    answered all the appropriate emails
    ordered a new mattress/bed
    coordinated with the shipping company
taken the baby to Mamas and Babies
ordered a super duper teething toy

and that's it. Mystery of the day is that our extension cord that holds the plugs for the washer and dryer was unplugged, although there's no way to get to it to unplug it without removing a table and crawling under the sink. Still, the table has now been moved to somewhere more sensible, which is nice, and the kitchen counter is covered in crap which means we're going out for dinner, which is also nice.

I know, I don't know what's come over me, except a month ago I know I would have never got through my list because there would be so much tidying of rubbish to get through first so I wouldn't have bothered.

How was your dinner? I have't been out for food in aaages.

MOTM - I read your thread about your daughter but had no advice, just hope it gets sorted.

Thanks. We are making progress. I think i'm going to need to lay down for a month after all of this.

I hope all of your Tuesdays are kind to you.

We were kindly given a sideboard yesterday, which I have put in our room so I have somehwere to keep all the baby's stuff. OH was not impressed but I pointed out that otherwise she'd have no storage and all her clothes would be on the floor!
So I spent an hour last night filling the drawers and have decided that baby ALREADY has too many clothes! Forgot we'd been given so many AND I bought some just because I wanted to buy pink things!

Was a very productive day as I also made 3 pints of curry sauce and some lentil mix so I can make a big chicken curry today. (Had to peel and slice 1kg of onions, then boil for an hour - my house STINKS today!)
Made meatballs for dinner yesterday, improved on my recipe/technique by making tiny bitesize ones, using basil and worcester sauce for flavour instead of chili flakes...
They were scrummy, boys' loved them.

Midwife apt this morning at 10.30, need shower first... DH taken boys to preschool, maybe should have shower quickly now...

Everyone is so organised right now - except me! :rotfl:

    I just found this online:
Monday 29th March 2010: School allocation Day

Argh!! I had no idea I had to wait so long to find out the results!! I would think that it won't be a problem getting him into the school that we are in the cachement for... I hope. I personally would prefer he not go until January or Easter, but I have no idea when the intakes are.

I think DS3 is getting the idea about sleeping through the night finally. He is now waking up and fussing for a bit in the middle of the night, then going back to sleep until about 5am. Which works for me!!! :jDS2 didn't figure out sleeping through the night until about 18 months - so 5 months is alllllll good!!! :rotfl:

I have a fair amount to do today:

    - check into appointment to set up child trust fund for DS3
    - take stock of freezers and cupboards
    - do menu planning for the next couple weeks
    - make blueberry muffins
    - vacuum bedrooms and living room
    - sweep kitchen floor
    - laundry (started)
    - bottles (done)

I'm sure more will crop up as I go along today.

    .

You CAN defer his allocated place until the next term
http://www.gettherightschool.co.uk/children-born-in-summer-starting-later.html(depending on age) but personally I would have thought it's best for a child to start school with his peers unless there's a very good reason why preschool is better for them at the moment. If your son is quite young he'll start on half days anyway, mine is only going to be 4 in July so he'll be one of the smallest there - but currently preschool isn't challenging him enough so I feel he's more than ready for half days at school.

Have had a shower, decided a Jumper and leggings is all I can manage for the moment as far as getting dressed is concerned - though may have to make more of an effort when I pick the kids up at 12...

Ragz's to do list for Tuesday

    Dry hair
Midwife at 10.30 (do NOT forget "sample" - hate having to wee on demand!)
    Vacuum everywhere
    Washing in TD
    More washing
    Wash up
    S&S kitchen
    Make curry
    Get rid of curry smell!

ragz - thanks for that link. Honestly, DH & I are a bit torn on whether or not to defer until January. DS2 turns 4 at the end of July. He is quite clever, academically, and I think ready for school in that respect. Socially, I'm not so sure. He's not potty trained (it got derailed a bit by a number of things, including the arrival of DS3) although we are working on it and he is showing fair progress. He seems quite "young" if that makes sense. He is happy to play with others, share, take turns, and such. But he's just still off in that toddler "fantasyland" kind of thing more than really being aware of other things around him. That probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'm not sure how else to put it. I realise part of it is probably me just thinking he's too young to go to school all day - I grew up in the states where children start school after their 5th birthday. So we're still contemplating options.....

He also needs to learn to dress himself, and do things for himself, which we're working on, but he just doesn't seem bothered.
