I think more BT existing customers should tell BT they are thinking of going to another ISP if they cannot be treated the same as new customers. I would have thought that firms would want to keep their customers not drive them away
Should I wait until BT offers these obtions to their existing customers or do you think they will be stubburn and still only say newbies
I think i'll go for obtion 1 and try to find the Hub cheaper or pay the £30
Also if you say that AOL are cheaper and with the same deals, they may just let you have it the same as newbies0 -
Also, I just had a look at the call prices:
It is cheaper to use "normal phone line" to phone Mobile phones than to use the Broadband Talk option.
Broadband charge to mobile: 11.74p (how the heck do the charge you
"Normal" charge to mobile: circa 7p (i closed the BT website where i found the price)
I have ordered the Total Broadband purely because it's a free router and I will save a fortune when calling abroad and I am with BT Broadband anyway and the upgrade was free. But for calling in the UK you are better off using the normal landline (although you get free weekend/evening calls.
If someone with some more time on their hands could do some comparison it would be great,
BTBroadbandtalk prices are here: http://www.btbroadbandtalk.bt.com/talk-mobilerates.html ...and they are not that cheap apart from phoning abroad its the same as landline and sometimes more expensive.0 -
grhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BT . As already documented here I orderd top package on 27th june which included bt talk evenings and weekends only to find when I received it on 10th July that bt talk not ordered at time by their operative..........annoyed to say the least but had to wait 5 working days whilst it was re-ordered........now 19th July and guess what no bt talk ordered on 10th and have to reorder..........then find when speaking to the manager who checked that todays order was ok that for some reason it did not go through properly dispite issuing an order number so there is some problem with their computer system not completing orders by look of it. She is investigating and promised to call me back today. We will see, but as one the features they are using to promote this service it beggars beleif.
For all the others I have seen posting here about bt broadband talk probs prolly worth checking your orders.

There is apparently a connection problem with Broadband Talk and some mobile networks.
My Broadband Talk makes and receives calls from landlines. However although I can call Orange and T mobile phones they cannot call my number.
Spoke to BT and they were aware of a problem but it was mainly the inability to call mobiles. They are in communication with the mobile companies to solve the problem.0 -
