For all BT customers who have had BT broadband for 10 months or more you can call BT's "access cot team" They can offer you a discount on your broadband and a free hub if your an option 2 or 3 customer. A rental discount still applies to option 1 customers but you won't get a free hub. The hub phone is currently not available to anyone due to stock issues but new customers will get one when available. existing customers should take the free hub pay for the phone and if your over 10 months into your contract you should ask for a price cut just call 08008000300

I'm moving and strongly leaning to getting BT Broadband. I need a wireless connection - there is no phone socket in the room I want to keep the computer in, and the landlord wont let me have one fitted. I've been looking at a package of theirs which is £9.99 but it looks like I have to pay £30 in addition to get their wireless pack.
Just wondering if anyone does use BT and is happy with the speed/customer service etc?
Also am I reading it right - I find their website a bit challenging to navigate. I will pay £11 line rental (Option 1 its called) plus £9.99 for BB which increases after a few months. Is that correct? Oh plus the £30 to get my wireless kit from them?
Or would you reccomend I get their more expensive BB package?

Ok so a few of my questions have already been answered, one more thing, does anyone know what the current wait time is for BB to be connected?0 -
think it's purely down to if the equipment is available in the exchangeEx forum ambassador

normally you do not connect the wireless thing to anything - you juust need a wireless reciever connected to your PC - which means either machine does not need to be near the phone socket0

Yes, it can be connected to your pc by usb.
