Sold an LP to France in March - the buyer's contacted me today to say they "don't remember having received" it

    HELP

I think I would be tempted to either respond saying after so much time having elapsed you can only assume that it was received and you cannot of course trace it now. Or ignore them completely.

Even Amazon who really favour the buyers would be hard pressed I think to find for a buyer after so long.

Amazon are apparently losing some sales due to the new kindle system:

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-07-23/amazon-drops-after-capital-spending-surge-kindle-price-cuts-erode-profit.html

Profits are still very good, but not as good as had been forcast.

I do worry that this will affect the second hand market, my sales whilst ticking over and really not brilliant at all. I was borderline to cover my pro seller fees last month.

As for Greenmetropolis even some of the original sellers are giving up and taking their books to charity shops , I have 200+ books listed and haven't sold a book there since May.

My GM sales had been very poor - one book sold last Sept then another one at the end of May. However, I've sold 6 in the last month - no idea why the sudden interest, I'd been on the point of giving up with them. I'll never understand online book sales - just happy to have any ;)

My guess is that the buyer received the LP and is trying to have it on with you to get some money back, but who waits 3/4 months to say "I can't remember receiving the item"?

thanks to you and Soolin - I'm going to take your advice and ignore it.
was starting to panic after reading the 'you can only claim from RM' if you have a reciept thing

  • Hi

I sell on Amazon, but have noticed that sales are few and far between at the moment. Having looked at listings, it appears that more and more people are favouring fulfilled by Amazon. I don't suppose anyone has tried this? I have a few thousand books still in the process of listing and have searched for some users comments but can't find any.

The trouble is fulfilled listings are placed first so ordinary traders like me are being pushed further and further down.

    Thanks in advance
