no, just give it a good wash and rinse, next time you do scrambled egg, melt the butter first in the pan and gentle heat and gently stir

I do scrambled egg in a none stick pan that I only use for SE and Omlettes, it's quite a small pan but deep, it was very cheap from Matalan.

I beat the eggs together in a jug with some black pepper and heat the pan with a knob of butter ( or if I am being good Frylight Butter style spray).

Once the egg goes in the pan I keep it moving with a wooden fork and it doesn't stick to the pan.

I used to do eggs in the microwave but I prefer the pan method these days it seems to look and taste better to me.

I use a non stick frying pan with some marge melted in first and then cook very slowly - i like mine fairly runny - not keen on microwaved egg

I use a cast iron pan. Pop it on the heat, and whilst its still cold I pop the eggs in and as soon as the pan warms up and starts cooking the eggs I begin stirring. They never stick when I start them off in a cold pan.

I pop in a little homemade butter and they are delicious!

I do what my old mum did for years before non-stick pans were on the market. What ever you are cooking whether it is eggs, porridge,or custard before you do anything else rince the pan under the cold tap.,don't dry it just give it a shake then put (if it's scrambled eggs)a dab of melted butter in and the eggs on top. I have always rinsed my saucepans in this way for over 40 years and have never had a pan that was a problem .I have a set of pans that were a wedding present 43 years ago and I am still using them. They are ordinary s.steel ones ,but not very expensive ones though. I have one pan that I keep for boiled eggs and one non-stick milk pan for scrambled eggs or porridge or custard .
It works for me, and my old Mum had aluminium pans during the war, and hers were fine too.

I always use a microwave to do me scrambly eggs in,I personally like my eggs sloppy and just to say cooked.I found using a pan more hard work by having to constantly stir and scrap the bottom of the pan with a big spoon. They never turn out how I like them, always seem to over cook them and burn it onto the bottom of the pan.

If anyone is like me when doing scrambled egg in a pan and burns the blumming egg to the bottom of the pan, then I`d suggest using 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda straight into the pan then topped up with white vinegar, just above the burnt on bit at the bottom.Usually about a half inch or so and leave it for 15 mins then you should be able to just wipe your finger round it and it`ll all come off, without needing to scrub it.

I'm really surprised how many people prefer the microwave version. Do you not find them just very slightly polystyreney? You'll be telling me you do your poached eggs in the microwave next. Lol. Just joking.
