i make mine in a bowl in the micro, lot easier to clean than using a pan, i use 1 egg to 1 tbsp milk and whisk with a fork then season pop in micro and whisk often till just about set as it will set some more when you take it out

I make Scrambled Eggs too, but for some reason they don't taste like McDonalds. I think we need a McDonald's employee to tell us their secret.

It's far easier to clean a microwave dish than a saucepan, so I normally use the microwave too.

Tip: Stop cooking them just *before* they are completely set or they'll be rubbery. ;)

I'm eating this a couple of times a day at the moment. This is how I make it:

One large egg, a generous splash of milk. Mix very well with a balloon whisk. Cook slowly, stirring constantly. When it is starting to set, add a decent sprinkling of grated cheddar and stir constantly until it goes all crumbly and there is a little juice at the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat and continue to stir for another minute. A little mustard helps liven it up too.

We call it cheese puddin', but it's basically just fancy scrambled egg. I don't like scrambled egg in the microwave. It's always a different texture. Not as 'grainy' as the way I like it.

Tip for the pan: if you put cold water in it immediately and give it a quick swish round with a scourer, you won't have that nightmare glued to the pan thing that happens with scrambled egg.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

I never use the micro for scrambled eggs, it never tastes quite right. I put cheese in mine, yum :D

thats true about micro think it makes it less creamy, in a pan i melt some butter first then do 1 egg to 1 tbsp milk give it a whisk then stir regularly till set as you like it, use a low - med heat

I can't add anything to the good advice. Want to say I just love scrambled eggs too. they are simple, nutrious and a good 'whole' food with no nasty additives. I try and buy my eggs at car boot sales when people are selling the eggs from their own chickens. They have lovely big orange yokes and taste fanatastic.

Googled & found this link to their recipes:

    http://www.epicconstructions.com/mirror/mcd/

These were based on the original US version. It only has egg, nothing else added. The texture comes from using a blender, also from cooking on a griddle and using a spatula to move it around. Not sure if it's the same now or if they do things differently in the UK.

The method they use is in the first couple of pages.

Same holds true when you make anything with milk in a pan - cold water first!
