Mine is more of an omlette I guess, saute peppers, couple of chopped fresh tomatoes and a couple of slices of bacon grilled and choped in to the pan, then pour 2 whisked up eggs over.. and stir a bit to cook. Loverly with a bit of Aldi bbq sauce..0

Are you sure it took less energy to heat up a heavy cast iron pan before starting to cook than it would have done to have cooked the eggs over the ring in a pan that transmitted the heat more quickly? Still, glad to hear you enjoyed your breakfast!
