Thanks everyone. I am quite pleased with him and my mum likes him so much she has asked me to do her a cat!! But i cant find a pattern i like so will probably hold off on that until i can get a book and a smaller hook!

Sue - come on then, where is the piccy?

Ladyshellda - the pengiun is the first one i have done from a pattern. i couldnt follow them either. everything else was done from youtube so keep looking at the patterns and one day it will just click like it did with me.

Luce - the mouse ears i did was from youtube and started as a magic circle. if you want to see the video let me know and i will try to find it. or just sew on a bit of felt like i did!! :P

Whilst I like the little figures and things I prefer making practical things :) However I know square things can be hard to get the hang of so I'd recommend trying something that won't look out of shape - like a round ripple :) Honest they are SO easy! After a few rows you know how the increases go so don't need to refer and you can make it as big or as small as you like :) I've just started another but this one was one I made for my grandparents a few years ago - as they have now passed away it is back home here with me :)

i think knitting is much easier but that could just be me!

Well, i can do the basic stitches ish, but all my squares are VERY wonky, and by wonky i mean, they start off one size and gradually get smaller and smaller and i cant work out why. Think i get abit carried away and start to go tighter and tighter. :o

Have had a go at following a pattern for a small toy, but at the moment it may as well be written in chinese! I shall suceed!

Hi Greenpixie, you have some fabulous things on your blog. I have been able to crochet for many years and would love to have a go at Amigurumis. Could you please tell me where I can get the patterns from or if there are any freebies on the web. Thank-you x

i can only do 1 stitch knitting. i feel i can do more crochet and my crochet stuff is more interesting than my knitting!!! I can only knit scarves and hats for my sock monkeys but i can crochet (sort of) toys (but not a square!!)

    It's adorable!

I can't seem to find the Art of Crochet magazine, does anyone know where to get it?

sue, your bunny is brilliant! what you gonna do next?

babyfranny - if you want to pay an extortionate amount you could try ebay!! other than that when i asked in the local shops they said they were trying to order more or you could order it off the website www.theartofcrochet.co.uk i think!!

i am going to make a panda later. actually i showed ds1 the panda and dd wants one as well and so does ds2. so i will be making 3!
