    Hello

Does anyone know whether this will still help if you haven't been able to get hold of the mag?
I have wool and a hook already after buying a pack in the spring maybe 'lets get crafting' but I can't make it out from the pics in the magazine there which is why I thought this set would be great for me.

Hi dawn. I'm sure someone will come along soon and let you know whether you need to have the mag to make any sense of the dvd. If you don't then pm me your details and 'll get it in the post to you.

I'm willing to give up my full copy of Art of Crochet including DVD, all pamphlets and hook to anyone who needs them. Just cadged a coated hook and a 1970's Woman Treasury of Crochet off my mum - 24 stitches beyond the basics & umpteen (somewhat dated) patterns - all for the bargain price of 3s 6d! (not really - she gave me it for free :D) So if anyone wants the first part sans yarn, PM me.

    EDIT: Taken by dawnteabag.

What a lovely offer - I've sent you a PM
  • I would love to try crochet but am left handed - does anyone have a link to show me how? Are there any other lefties out there who crochet and do they have any problems? I can knit but do it right handed and am very slow.

I taught myself to crochet many years ago and I had had the same problem. Then I found a Coates How to Crochet book which suggested putting a mirror besides the pictures in the book to reverse the images. It was so easy after that. So I suggest you find a book with lots of pictures and a pocket mirror and see if this works for you
