This just shows how little you understand how paypal and ebay work. If the item was not as described you could have easily got your money back.

So you admit yourself that you didn't inspect it properly I'm afraid you have no one to blame for yourself

Just because everyone doesn't agree with you and have pointed out where you were wrong you have thrown your toys out of your Pram (A very wonky one)
I think we'd all do well to remember, that what for us is an obvious scam, for your average Ebayer it isn't... they wrongly put their trust in sellers......so stop being so harsh and lay off....and to the op, sorry you had a rough ride, but we're not all lying scumbags and hope you don't lose faith in Ebay........after all folks, this could be yet another potential buyer we have just lost, like we need that!
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

Exactly what is clever of me? It's simply a statement of fact.

And you missed the point of my comment... if I were trusting the comfort and safety of a child to something I was inspecting for purchase, I'd make real sure that I checked, double checked, got someone else to check etc. etc.

Clearly your desire for a bargain outweighs your concern for the child.

    Good night.
Totally out of order....i hope you apologise....

Well tbh i've already cancelled my account and i can't see much reason to re-open it. It's a shame for sellers because i bought a lot of stuff form there. Then one day i came across what i thought was a decent seller that genuinely wanted to help out, in the end turned out to be someone who'd sell anything for a bit of cash, even if it wasn't worth it.

Why buy something as safety critical as a child seat and pram and not inspect it properly?

There isn't normally a problem with cash on collection as long as both parties have a little bit of sense about them. And that's where the problem with this thread lies.

Just because one person makes an error of judgement, treis to blame everyone but themselves, why should the majority have to suffer from their incompetance?

I did not have a child at the time, how would i tell it wasn't alright?

How have i tried to blame 'everyone else'? You clearly have nothing useful to say why not just keep your snotty comments to yourself?

You've blamed ebay , Paypal the seller everyone but who's fault it is YOURS. You're just making yourself look rather silly and childish now.

Saying the judge was a/an !!!! and then not understanding why the case was thrown out, then screaming for cash on collection to be banned because you screwed up...

Nope - not accepting responsibility for your own actions is just the same as trying to find someone else to blame.

Now do a search on here for TSFE, and I'll keep thinking up snotty comments.

    Basic research of what exactly?

The seller IS fault though :S Never once blamed paypal, not their fault. didnt blame ebay for me paying cash on collection, just said they shouldnt really allow it if its not safe for buyers. Yes i suppose some things could be useful for COC but i would have hoped they would be able to help get buyers money back if they were ripped off on their site.

  • Hunnybunny...the trolls come out at night....they have wound you up, and by one persons comments rightly so......but try not to retaliate, i know as a mum you would never put saving a few pennies over the safety of your child and i expect it is quite daunting going to someones house and then to give it the fine toooth comb treatment......just ignore the comments as they have mastered the art of put downs to a tee......so now they are just wanting you to crack,.
I can feel a backlash coming my way too.....i'm bent over and ready for a whipping.....probs quite like it too......

What has the judge got to do with this thread? He said it was to be expected with something over a year old and dismissed the case. Said i was over reacting, but he seemed to ignore the fact the condition of the item was not described properly.

Yes because i have nothing better to do than search for things.
