How much would the pram cost to repair? Any estimates?
That would vary from shop to shop. Its difficult to give an estimate without the actual pram being seen. If you really like the pram and want to keep it I would suggest going to a local baby shop and asking their advice.
Many smaller independant retailers would be more than happy to help you.0 -

The Pliko make has been around for quite a while so the pushchair could be anything from a few years old to 6 months old. I don't suppose you would know the name of the fabrics? That might help pin it down a bit but the reason the brakes are faulty are because of the bent chassis meaning they are not 'catching' correctly on the wheels.
Doesn't now ive bleached it
Apparently 18 months old. I've no idea sorry.£10,000 in 2010 = £00 -
So the carseat is now useable? Thats one good thing anyway. The pram should be able to be sorted out. It depends on how much you paid and how much you're willing to pay to keep it going. If you could pm a picture of it I could have a look and see if we can identify the fabrics if you like?0

You said you didn't know ebay advised against paying cash! Thats what Im referring to!
Oh i see, i think i do remember seeing them but i probably forgot. I had a lot to think about at the time. But as i said, i felt i had to pay cash as the pram was in my house.£10,000 in 2010 = £00 -

Yes the carseat is, my sister got me one of freecycle when i was refusing to use that one, so i switched the p'styrene. I cant really afford to pay much to keep it going tbh.
Yes i could take a picture now.£10,000 in 2010 = £00 -

I don't want to seem like I'm going against you with everything, but surely you'd be able to see that when you paid? Or am I missing something?HunnyBunny wrote: »
The car seat was just very unhygienic.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -

No i didnt look under the covers, or under the carseat itself.£10,000 in 2010 = £00 -
In relation to the thread title - in all honesty, I think it's wrong for you to claim that the system should be scrapped just because of you and your one negative experience. It's one among thousands, most of which are positive, and you shouldn't just claim that the entire system is rubbish and doesn't work because you've had a bad experience. Tbh, although the seller was wrong in selling you items that were unfit for use, I believe a small part of the blame for this bad experience is yours, for not checking the item as thoroughly as you could have. That's not ebay's system's fault, either - so I don't believe cash on collection should be scrapped. Just my two pence.
