Hi Planning_ahead and Compingirl and Ziggles, NDD and NG

Great idea about the receipt. I scanned it in and e-mailed it to her, totally different attitude from her now.

Called Tescos today to cancel the PPI.....cos I've missed payments they aren't prepared to let me cancel it over the phone, they're sending me out a form to use to cancel it!! Sounds like my PPI is also their PPI on me....just made me more determined to claim it back. I was slightly fuming after the conversation I must admit.

I'm also wondering wether or not to use the companies that do the work for you, I know they take a %ge but they'd go to court for you and I'm not sure that i'd be brave enough to do that on my own...something to think about.

Sat working out sums last night and if I can get myself into gear I can do loads of extra jobs etc and get Tesco and C One paid off my end Aug 2011. It's £200 a mth to each but it's a debt busted.

Don't think they're is anything else from me, cept I did my PAD. I am so determined to do this and get rid of this once and for all. NEVER to be repeated. I have spent, to date, all of my adult life in debt. What a waste. I could cry just thinking about it, but that won't help, so need to channel the anger of my mess into a method of getting rid of it.

I saw a pic today in the mamas and papas catalogue of a tiny baby in a carrycot, in 2 yrs I want to be buying that carrycot to put my tiny baby in. So I suppose that's the challenge I am setting myself, Feb 2012 to be debt free.

So scared, but desperate to be free...and madly excited at the same time.

Oh yes and 12 NSD in Feb. Just decided that. I am going to write in my diary the days that will be NSD as I'll fail miserably otherwise.

    Till tmmw DBF.

  • Hi Lexie

Glad the suggestion of scanning the receipt helped:T Hopefully this will mean that argument is now sorted and closed.

I know exactly what you mean about you could cry thinking about it - the debt built up over the years. I feel exactly like that some days. However today I was chatting to DH in the car and we were both so positive and looking forward to 2012 (our debt free year:T). He said it's no good looking back at mistakes, we need to learn from them and move on and he is so right. Once the debt is cleared we will never allow it to build up again. We discussed getting rid of CCs totally but agreed to keep one and pay it off in full whenever used (only for the protection it gives when companies go bust etc).

That carrycot will be in your house and filled with a beautiful baby before you know it. We had our youngest granddaughter over today - totally beautiful and asleep in the moses basket (9 weeks old). That is such a fantastic target to aim for and the best reason to want to be debt free. Just remember to stay debt free and not allow your emotions to make you want to buy him/her to world all in one go;)

    Hi,

    So today's update:

Possible reprive with the TAX man, basically they messed up sending me out a new user ID so I might be able to stop the £100 fine!! Not getting too excited yet as they way my luck goes I'll end up having to pay it.

Need to get a shimmy on with a to do list. Was going to do it tonight but too tired so will do it tmmw.

Dunno what I was on last night as I was awake for hours after writing my diary, but I love the aim given by planning_ahead of keeping that carrycot in mind.

I've done my PAD and also checked all bank accounts online. Never used to do this was always heart scared of how much would be gone!

    Night for today.

    Thanks for checking in.

  • Hi Lexie

Call me PA - much easier;)

Glad you liked the incentive of your baby in that moses basket - just keep remembering it when you are feeling low and you will soon cheer up and get through those low moments.

I must start to think about PAD - haven't got my head round that one just yet:rotfl:

    Hi Lexie
I seem to be having major issues with my email notification, just checked my subscribed thingymes and found all your previous posts over the last week.
So sorry to hear about all the issues you have been having - pleased that it sounds as if you are getting them sorted and...it's the weekend now!
I know exactly what you mean about the carry cot. I'm so so broody at the mo it's untrue.
Want as much debt paid off by our wedding in August and then all paid off by the time we have a baby. Think we are looking at two years as well.
    Anyway
    Enjoy your weekend!

    Evening all,

So tired today, and too shattered to write much tonight. Was awake half of last night as well. I have the house to myself tmmw so I will most definitely do that 'to do list'. Might help me sleep if nothing else.

I also need to do a list of all things remaining to sell on ebay.

Done my PAD, apart from that nowt else to say.

I will also put on my 'to do list' tmmw to check in on everyones diary.

    Lots of Love.

    OK,

So the NSD happened on Monday, purely by accident, but ut felt really good not spending anymoney. Failed miserably yesterday and today. Can of coke and pkt of crisps on each day.

I've decided that Feb is just hard work. It's the 10th of the mth and I'm skint already, why is the shortest month the hardest?

I've done all my backdated PAD, so lazy, but to be honest I'm spending too much time on the net anyway, so possibly a good thing.

I have to list some things on ebay, I will do that later. I've also got a couple of big items that i'm going to list on gumtree. Photos taken, just need listed!

Not much else to say really, apart from that ebayer is still doing my head in about the item she bought and ebay don't seem to want to help sellers. Told the ebayer that it needs sorted at her end by Sat or i won't be offering her a refund if she is wrong.

Off to check a few surveys and also lotto no's.

    I'll pop back tmmw.

  • Oh don't be so hard on yourself, we all need our little naughty treats *looks shiftily at empty packet of Aero Bubbles in bin* and what's a can of coke and a pack of crisps in the grand scheme of things compared to shoes and handbags?

How about finding a pound shop and buying a multipack of crisps (I got 6 x Frisps for £1) and some cans of pop (they're on £1 for 3 in my local ones) so that's a pack of crisps and a can of pop for the equivalent of 50p per day.

    I LOVE POUND SHOPS!!!!
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000

  • Done my PAD, and that's about all. Very lazy at min. I have a list of items to put on ebay and gumtree...so tmmw it is.

I think I will actually put a list together of things that need listed and then strike them off one by one. You know that perverted sense of pleasure you get when you've accomplished tackling a list.

Anyway, I'm off to watch tele in bed as I am shattered.
