Day 1... where will it lead

So I had my lightbulb moment last night, did the usual lurking around before I took the plunge and decided that I wasn't going to win the lottery, which therefore meant paying off my debt by hard graft.
So here we are, day 1. What have I done today?
Well tied up the bottom of my wardrobe and found an immaculate pair of MBT's
Bottle of coco mademoiselle - still in wrapper and also matching body lotion, still in wrapper
So all of these items are going on e-bay tonight, I said yesterday that they were going on today, but had to get my car serviced, so no free time.
Service cost nothing, so I can add that money towards Tesco CC (two months payment) and also my £50 target for HBOS OD for this month.
That's it really. Until tmmw, be good.
xx

So, here we are day 2. Writing this is really theraputic, in a very weird way.
What did I do today?
Spent £47.88 and saved £4.50 from Sliming world fees into piggy bank and also paid £50 off my OD, and reduced it by the same said £50.
Read my stars for the decade ahead, wish I hadn't now, first line read ' Money is a big issue during 2010, as Saturn clashes wih Uranus'.
Feel like just sitting down and crying now. Like literally sitting down and crying till someone makes it all better for me, but of course that won't happen. So it's back to operation 'wipe out the debt'. So boring but necessary.
Still haven't listed items on e-bay, have taken the photos for them, which is a whole lot more than I had done yesterday.
I'm gonna go and see what the rest of you are up too....
Till tmmw. xx£38,000 and change to £00 -

Day 3....New Years Eve
Subscribed to DebtFreeDivas diary, 1000 days to financial freedom and lots of new friends. Brilliant, decided to follow her idea and pay £1 a day. So just done that on my HBOS OD. Did it online and have worked out that in 100 days it's 100 quid. (dead good at maths aren't i?) But it's 100 quid that you actually won't see moving, if that makes sense.
Plus NIIB called me today to remind me that I needed to pay money into my arrears. So paid £60, which I'm mega annoyed about as when I asked them to set up an additional DD to catch back the arrears they said they couldn't do it. Now they can, how does that work?
Went to the shop and spent £5.22 on munchies for tonight as I'm not going out.
Listed an item on ebay last night and have had a few bids already, can't list any more at the min as my paypal isn't set up properly, so the other items won't get listed until Tues next wk. Bit disappointed as I was on a bit of a roll.
So, I'll sign off for the night and indeed 2009. I hope you have a great 2010 and I hope my wishes come true and to those of you reading this I hope that yours come true as well
Lots of Love and Best Wishes.

hi and welcome to the diary threads. Guess day one lead you on your first step to the road of debt freedom. Lots of little steps like the PAD and such stuff will help you get there even faster.
Have you worked out exactly what you owe, to whom and how much interest you're paying on it? It will help you decide who to pay off first and give you your challenges along the way.0 -
HI lexie Happy new year and great stuff on the LBM- onward and uopward.
What caught my eye was the day one and also the fact you have a HBOS and Tesco CC (just like me)...so here i am happily subscribed...good luck!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi,
I'm such a nerd that I've been doing the payment calculator thing, very useful little tool.
John Lewis and Barclaycard have allowed me to have a payment plan as I had a huge drop in salary in Apr, Tescos and Capital one - not a mission mate.
So for the min I'm forcing myself to pay Tesco and COne over the min payment each mth. But my big concern at the min is HBOS OD so I've set the 100 day challenge thing that I reduce this OD to £3300 by 18th April 2010. We are all so grateful to HBOS for their change in the interest rate, like how on earth do you get the snowball calculator to work that one out?!
My NIIB loan is on a fixed repayment, so I know when that's ending, plus I'm planning to sell my car this time next yr and pay off the loan early. For those of you who are wondering, I bought a car brand new and it's constantly got something wrong with it, so get rid of it before the warranty goes, which is this time next yr.
Egg loan is finished in Aug, my birthday! YAY! So can't wait for that one.
My first item on ebay is up to £14.49, so pleased and surprised.
Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm afraid to use quidco and things as I reckon I would get addicted to shopping on it. But having said that for purchases that are a big spend and I would do on the net anyway I'll use it.
Other than that all I can say is thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings and supporting me. It means so much, while trying to muddle thru this mess. I ache for the day when I can start to save again.
Lots of Love and best wishes for the new and fabulous yr ahead of us.

Happy New Year LexieLou
Good result from ebay! I've never sold anything on there before but have bought a couple of things in the past... May finally get round to trying to sell a couple of things now, you've inspired me!
Have a great day,
