what type of fabric is it? tbh you would loose the effect in that print, and why pay extra for ring tape and covers, if just plain header tape at a fraction of the cost works just as well

    F

The fabric is Velboa faux fur, it's 100% polyester with a low fur pile - if that makes sense.

I'm only doing ring top as this is what my son wants. Will see how much the curtain tape is, going to Dunelm this pm to price various things up. Will check the difference in price and if it's a lot will get my son to change his mind!!

    Thanks for the help.

i am making them for two girls i know who are due babies in sept and oct, i thought they would do either for pram quilts for the winter or just as floor quilts for the babies to lie on as they get bigger.
Thanks for the reply to my question. Great idea for babies.

Lovely makes everyone. HMO your quilts look fab, I love the colours you have used and Miss Pixie your taggies are so cute!

Ailsb you could make cushion covers from the Clarke and Clarke scotties as well as bags and toilet bags (Ive just finished one and lined it with red and white polks dots which looks pretty cute.)

I love Minky. Especially the dotty backed stuff. Its lovely as a backing for baby quilts. Soft as soft can be.

Im not posting much these days but still pop in every day to see what you have all been up to. Sue, hope you are well. Its been ages since we spoke!! xx

Spent the morning drawing up and cutting out a saddlebag after being given the instructions by Rufusdog. Thankyou, I am hoping that I will get to the machine again this evening to do the sewing, but time has run out on me and I have to collect DGD from Nursery by 1pm.
Using some Cath Kidston fabric and some canvas for the lining.

    Hi everyone.

Thanks to Rikki and HMO for their tips about Cath Kidston.

Now, a grabbit for all you shabby chic/quilters...

Home shopping direct are selling a greatly reduced quilted throw-over that also includeds pillow shams in the set. It is made up of multiple floral and stripe fabric pieces (biege, rose and blue) and is simply stunning in real life. It also comes with a clear zip top bag that is perfect for storing fabric/FQ's. I bought mine for £15 and it is huge for a single set. They are doing double and kingsize as well. Be sure to check out their other shopping sites as the price is varying depending on who you checkout with. The set is called 'Walton'

    Hope to help someone!

Lovely bag Hart. That butterly fabric is really nice. Your purses look fabby too! Ive just bought that bag pattern but it hasnt arrived yet so not sure what the pattern requirements are. Did you use fusible fleece as well as interfacing or did you use wadding?
Ive just treated myself to about 6 metres of Amy Butler fabrics  so hope to make a few bags from it for my shop. Being a housewife is not good for my bank balance. I cant stop spending!! Im on first name terms with our new postman now. :o:o:o

Thanks for the info Handsewn. x
