If anybody's interested, Lidl are doing boxes of threads. It's only cheap thread but it might be good if you just need a bit of one colour. They do several different boxes for about £3.50 each. I got one that had 30 small reels and all the same colours on bobbins. I was at my Mum's so not tried the bobbins on my machine but they work fine on Mum's machine, which loads the bobbin from the top.

I also bought a pattern tracing kit - 5 sheets of paper, tailor's chalk and a wrist thing with foam on for pins.

    Hi everyone

I have just been catching up with the thread, I have been away for the weekend. I had a nice sale on Saturday, I sold one of my quilts from my Folksy shop so I need to go and post it off this morning.

I have plenty of sewing to get on with now I am home again. I took my latest quilt with me and got some of the hand quilting done. Not a lot more to do on it now, may be a couple more evenings if it's not too warm to have it over me. I have the bags to finish off on the machine and two tops to cut out. YD has a nice top which I wouldn't mind using as a pattern as well to make some tops out of the bits I have left over. Thinking I might be able to put them in my shop.

I had these threads before. I still use them for my repairs etc, and of course the cost of the bobbins alone you are quids in. Alas I havent a lidl enroute to anywhere else at the moment, so doubt I will be able to buy them this time around.

pattern tracing kits are handy as well. Although I have had some I havent a clue where they are at the moment.! but thats me and my disorgainsation complete there!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Love the quilt - I have never made one. How big is it.....is it a lap quilt? I think I would do a small quilt for my first attempt.
