OH wants to eat his dinner at the dining room table.
Have words with him for me. :rotfl:
I moved all my stuff from the dining table upstairs and then slowly but surely loads of it is all back again.!!
(Its the table as I walk into the front room really, and so its a dump ground for everything, not just the sewing!!). So I get where you are coming from!. Luckily no OH to want the table! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

How very dare he? :rotfl:
Does he not understand the importance of your sewing table?
My lot all voluntarily ate tea on the sofa last night after waiting until 7pm for me to reheat the chinese we were having for tea (which I didn't do 'cause I was sewing). DD wanted to do a bit of sewing but I explained to her that I wanted it done quickly and needed to crack on. I suggested that it would be really helpful of her to pair up the blocks for me ready to sew and she did which saved me an absolute age!
I really must decide on a thing for her to make thoughDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Oh no! I have just gone and spent another £30 I didnt need to spend on fabrics and trims! Couldnt risist. Was clicking through all the different sites that are in my sewing Magazine today and just had to buy some things. Could have spent even more, but dont really have it to spend this week! oops.
I may have to move some funds around now!
Perhaps i ought to try and cut a few more things out, if DGD can let me be while I do it. I have cut out a few wallets, as my friend liked the one I made for her, and so did my daughter. Perhaps a few for the website. Who knows. There is nothing on there yet, as I havent been sewing for days and days!
Its getting cold here, back to get my jumper on.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Finally done some more on one of my projects, Yay :j, its only a small bit but glad I've started it. Turned my computer desk into a sewing area so my machine is permenantly out now,
Have decided to make Christmas presents for the 7 children I'll be giving to this year (2 are my DDs) am going to make name plaques with dolls/animals hanging off them, maybe on a swing, so going to start practising now!
Am probably being stupid but how do I upload pictures straight frommy computer?
Thanks x0 -
Oh dear bought fabric again, must start doing some sewing and stop buying. Went to Dunelm and they had end of rolls selling for 2.99 metre, so bought 3 mt of different fabric, then of course had to get more zips and bits and pieces and spend £30 without blinking!:rotfl:0

i bought this fabric which i have to say is not me at all, but thought i would try it anyway i still dont like it but am sure someone will so i think its going to have to go on either my ebay or folksy shop, i cannot warm to it at all.
I made my own pattern using my pazzles software which i then printed to form my template and its based on a tutorial that Hart posted a link to on her blog.

ive bought online from the US for the past 10 yrs and have never had any problems - as long as you keep the amount you spend low, and fairly infrequent, then you tend to avoid import charges too
if you arent in a hurry for fabric or have a set idea on what you want to buy, then i would definitely recommend joining one of the many coops on yahoo groups

It is a nice shape make-up bag but like you say the fabric is not quite one I usually go for some will though
Sometimes we have to make things others like but we would not have ourselves or we would all be sheep :rotfl:
I have been looking at the Michael Miller tattoo parlour collection, I have seen some bits even ordered some off an etsy sellerit is a nicer collection than Alexander Henry ones.
Shannorand Mooloo
you are not alone
I went to get my rotary cutter blades from the lady in Cromford quilt shop and they have not arrived so I brought fabric instead
I have to go back next wkend to see if they are in :rotfl: must not buy fabric
Sparklyits great to have a corner to keep things handy to sew
Love the sound of your projects
irishgirlI dont suppose it matters what you use
sometimes its nice to have a slightly padded make-up bag to protect your nice things inside
Weel I have almost finished anothe Amelie bag just the lining to make (when my fabric I ordered off ebay arrives :rotfl:) then I can finish putting it together
I have spent most of today running DD to and from work and listing loads on ebay to fund my fabric habitGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing
