I was looking at overlockers after an ebay free listing weekend as my SiL fancies one and I had the idea that perhaps the 3 of us could share the cost (MiL too) and just rotate usage of it when we need or want to use it. I'll wait until she's started making some clothing and then bring it up again because it could be an affordable way for us to make all of our own clothes which we could then sell on. Highly unlikely though.
Interestingly enough, I have a friend who has just done a fair selling wooden shapes and frames and such like. She said people were really complimentary until they learned the prices and then said things were too expensive. She said it's really made her apreciate the amount of work that goes into something. I'm the same too now that I've been making things. I will continue to look around for bargains but I don't like waste and don't want to exploit anyone.
I will try to sew up some more blocks tomorrow but not sure how long I'll have as I may be able to go and watch DS in a tag rugby tournament. He keeps coming downstairs saying he can't sleep- bless him he's so excited :D

    Another lurker coming forward:D

Please can anyone tell me where to get a free manual (download or postal) for my Brother XL2120 sewing machine? My original was taken during a break in (don't ask - I know, what a ridiculous thing to take). I've had a Google but all I can see is a download for £11:eek:
I'm sure my machine can do all sort of things but I don't know where to start without some help.:(

I put the little squares on mine and had to cut a bit of the zip off but I think it makes the zip look better :D
