    Hi everyone :D

I have been busy sewing, will get some pics on later :o

Mooloo I brought some iron on stuff that make your fabric wipe clean from Ebay (will try and find her) I have used it to make a make-up bag and it is very easy to use but I forgot to iron my fabric so it looks creased but Im useing it as a pencil case so not bothered :rotfl:

Im am going to be without electric tomorrow, the road is getting new wireing :( so no sewing or internet

LOVE the work you have all been doing :T:T
Now off to find that seller :D

    Found her :Dhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vilene-LAMIFIX-Gloss-x-1-2-mtr-Fusible-Waterproof-/300511904705?pt=UK_Crafts_Embroidery_EH&hash=item45f7e7c3c1

This seller is amazing she phoned me to see how I wanted my order posted as I had ordered more than 1 it was easier for her to roll it and but she wanted to make sure it was ok with me 1st or she could fold it but it could be creased :D

    I have ordered some thanks!

Some beautiful fabric I brought from Cromford Mill Quilting shop, I just love the fabric on the left it is Micheal Miller, I only wanted half metre of 2 (lower ones) but when I went to pay the lady who owns the shop was then measuring the bit at the top of the pile and said that it was part of the collection I was buying and it was the end of roll so I had that too :o The other fabric is to make little bags for DGD's :D

    Now the good :D

Hi Wendy, The Works have loads of embellishments normally on a rail in the middle of the shop. Poundstretcher also have packs you can buy with sequins, buttons, bows etc in them. If you check ebay as well Im sure you will find something there.

Lovely makes everyone. Ive still nothing to contribute at the moment so havent been posting but I have as always been checking in every day to see what you are all up to. Ive been doing my hexie cushion whilst watching telly in the evening and Ill be honest and say Ive hated every minute of stitching it together. Its definately not my "thing"!! :o Hope you are all well. x

Thanks for the help will look in town tomorrow. :D

    Good evening ladies!

    I have a pattern request :)

Today I saw a drawstring bag with a circular bottom that was big enough to carry a ball of wool to allow knitting on the move. I really would like to make one for my friend and wondered if anyone had a pattern?

    Thank you!

glad you have got your machine back and can get sewing again.

i bought some fabric in ikea to make a roman blind for my office, so if i get time tonight i am going to start marking out the hems etc.

i forgot to buy blackout linning so cannot start sewing yet, will have to buy that tomorrow.
If you have a dunelm nearby, I quite often find lots of blackout lining in the remnant bin. It's hit and miss though so you have to have a good old rummage and of course, you're not supporting local enterprise if that's what you're after doing.

I seem to remember from previous posting that hart bought the patterns for the bags she has made from another website. I may well be wrong though.

So, it's late again :o. I overslept this morning. I finally got into bed at 2am as I had to make the bed before I got in it . I was then woken up at 4 am by the dawn chorus. Couldn't get off to sleep and my stomach started rumbling. Got up and had some cereal and went back to bed bt shut the window to shut the birds up. Which meant I got to hot :(. Eventually got off and woke up at 10am  leapt out of bed and rushed down to finish off the grouting in my utility.
After that was done, I sat down at the machine. I have now finished 11 of the star blocks for my quilt. I have 2 left to sew up tomorrow. Then I must start on the setting blocks. I have decided to use a mix of pale coloured fabrics for backgrounds (prints and plains) and my fat quarters and darker plains for the smaller squares. I still have the 1m fabric bought from ebay which I've not cut into and I'm desperately hoping that there will be enough on there to do the sashing strips for each block. I'm none too sure though. I shall keep checking to see if that seller has any more though and order some if they do.
I have a nice dark purple fabric which I am now thinking "You are a binding fabric if ever I saw one!" :D which leaves me to order the wadding (possibly bamboo) and need to see about backing.
Depending on what fabric I have left, I will piece up as much as I can which may need to create a central block or a pieced border. I think that it could look quite funky though.
I got too excited and laid out the 11 finished blocks on the floor earlier to show DH. I like them :D. He even nodded earlier which means he's impressed :rotfl:.

Question: Does anyone know what site or programme it is that I can use to upload my pictures of the block to and be able to rearrange them on there to visualise the best pattern? I know that there was someone who did the original QAL who did it but I don't remember what site he used. If nobody knows, I'll have to trawl through all of the comments on each block until I find the link  :rotfl:.

I'm itching to start sewing something else but I'm determined to get all the stars finished before Thursday. And as many setting blocks as I can :rotfl:. I said to DH earlier, I'd be ok if our anniversary was December time but the kids have been off school more than they've been in since the beginning of April.
I really will try to upload photos tomorrow morning, I promise :o

I've found one but the bottom isn't circular, although it shows you how to square the corners and you can make it any size you like:
