Claire I love the details on your bag.
Last week I was thinking about your friend displaying your aprons in her shop, so I took some of my 'wares' to a local shop and she liked my card holders and brooches. She said if I made four of each she'll display them and see how they go.
Here are the card holders
That's fab!!! Well doneBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Great card wallets Georgiabay, was just googling a card wallet to make before I popped onto this thread! Found a tutorial so will see what I come up with, not sure they'll be as professional as yours though0

Well what did I say...
I had a phone call Friday afternoon to say that my machine was ready to be collected lol! So I didn't have to sort out the tension problems on my Mum's machine :Tlol!
The machine has even been given a lovely polish (smells of lavender lol) and is gleaming. :j All the storage area at the bottom of the machine has been cleared of dust and old needles.
I have also gained two new feet, that I assume must have been caught up somewhere, in the storage compartment out of view. The bottom of my machine is hollow (well apart from the bobbin casing) but you cant really access most of the space,
One of the feet I think must be a zipper foot & the other i assume is for some type of hem.
I used the sewing shop in Woking this time. LAst time, I used the man in Wocester Park. He did a good job also but I wasnt happy with what he charged me.
Have finally made a start on my "homework" for my course next Saturday!:T0 -

The main ones will give you an idea how to do them I think? I cannot remember how I did mine to be honest it was so long ago and I havent been using it? I think that there are a few who will come along later.
I have to start in earnest now, (how many times have I said that?) but the bank balance is really low.
I too have been chatting to a local shop, who wants to take a gander at my works. We were talking on Wednesday lunchtime, by chance. I hadnt even known the shop existed.
Well I think its Goodluck to all the creative people on here, and a look forward to when we have all reached our dreams!:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
somewhere on my blog hopping I saw something that you buy to turn your fabrics into oil cloth yourself. An iron on product. Now I want to look at it again, can I find it? Derr No!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Hi everyone
I have been busy sewing, will get some pics on later
Mooloo I brought some iron on stuff that make your fabric wipe clean from Ebay (will try and find her) I have used it to make a make-up bag and it is very easy to use but I forgot to iron my fabric so it looks creased but Im useing it as a pencil case so not bothered :rotfl:
Im am going to be without electric tomorrow, the road is getting new wireingso no sewing or internet
LOVE the work you have all been doing :T:T
Now off to find that seller
Found herhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vilene-LAMIFIX-Gloss-x-1-2-mtr-Fusible-Waterproof-/300511904705?pt=UK_Crafts_Embroidery_EH&hash=item45f7e7c3c1
This seller is amazing she phoned me to see how I wanted my order posted as I had ordered more than 1 it was easier for her to roll it and but she wanted to make sure it was ok with me 1st or she could fold it but it could be creasedGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Just some pic's of how bad I have been and how good :rotfl:
Bad bit
Some beautiful fabric I brought from Cromford Mill Quilting shop, I just love the fabric on the left it is Micheal Miller, I only wanted half metre of 2 (lower ones) but when I went to pay the lady who owns the shop was then measuring the bit at the top of the pile and said that it was part of the collection I was buying and it was the end of roll so I had that tooThe other fabric is to make little bags for DGD's
Now the good
I love this fabric and the bag is so easy to doI made these 2 in just over half hr
This is a Belle Bag like the Amelie one I did but with a top band and a bigger size
I have some more pic's on my homepage that are easier to seeGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing
