Once again, good advice from mooloo :).
My friend at work kept hinting last night that her daughter would love a dress like I made DD. Trouble is, I'm not really confident enough to offer to make her one and I know that she wouldn't want to pay even cost price for the fabric. I shall think on and see. Her DD's smaller than my DD and the shirring has still brought up the dress quite loose so I might have a play with the other thin elastic I got from ebay to see how fine that comes up and how far it shrinks it. I also wanted to see what happened with the shirring elastic if I stiched a zigzag stitch with it. That's all for another day though. I have an hour before I go to work so I might see if I can get another block or two cut out. Try to catch you all later or tomorrow.

I have a blister on my middle finger from cutting out too much. Must be the way I hold my scissors. Dont remember that happening to me when I used to sew day and night. But then it was 20 odd years ago.
    Oh well.

Well there isnt much on there! I am still learning and still spend most of my computer time on here.!
I have posted a picture of the ties and bag made yesterday now.
Re the advise, thats not a problem. Just hope I am not trying to teach people who are more qualified then me, to suck eggs so to speak.

Well its all new to me Mooloo thanks. All tips are really appreciated as I would never have thought of half of what you have told me already. Just had another look on your blog, those ties look good dont they. I still have a box full up in my room that I havent even started on yet. Was thinking of unpicking them and ironing them flat or something so they are not so thick. I cut out two bags from the vinyl this afternoon, need to order some more magnet closures as havent got any left, though I might see how much they are in my local sewing shop first, I am sure I saw them in there the other day. Need some of those zip things to that go in the zips you buy by the metre. I have quite a bit left over from other things but no pulls left.
