:rotfl: I didn't think of that but just found out it makes the fabric 12mm when folded around the edge of the fabric :o

A 50mm will make it 25mm around the fabric :)

Ooooo just found a bias binder foot for a sewing machine :) will have to look into that one later :) off to the hospital in a mo for the stitches out :j

Georgia - thats a good idea with the bags using the opening poppers. I love the colour of the blue one and the inside looks nice too xx

I brought one half the size of my desk off ebay(A1) for just over £10 but I was lucky to be given 4 more when my mums friend who did a lot of quilting passed away.
Her DH did not know what to do with her stuff so told my mum to give it all to me. She had an unfinished reversable quilt that I said I will finish and give back to him but Im still trying to get time to do it :o

You would prob be ok with an A2 as that is a good size to start with :)

You can see it (just lol) in this pic and no its not this tidy anymore :o :rotfl:

My mat is A3 it is small for some things so I just do as much as I can and then move it along. They had huge ones in quality save last week.

Sounds like my new space already. I am sitting in the front room about to do abit of the pinning while I have a cuppa. But I have sewing stuff in my bedroom, the sitting room, under the stairs and of course in the room DS vacated too! Oops.
My cutting board has cm on one side and inches on the other. Its fine for small things, although I do have to move it abit sometimes. However I am not very good at using the rotary cutters so I am mostly with my scissors still.!:o
Old habits die hard I suppose.!
DGD1,s top is nearly finished, hopefully I will manage it before the end of the day. Maybe before I get her from nursery. It will be toning/matching how ever you say it, with the hat.:D
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I have not shown the rest of the room :rotfl: and a lot of my stuff is in the bedroom :o I have to move all the boxes off my desk if I want to cut anything out, thats why the cutting board had to be big so I can keep it on my desk :o
When my OH brought it we were supposed to share it, he repairs PC's but I took over the whole thing so he still has to sit at the coffee table :rotfl:

I would highly recommend a table top ironing board as it saves getting a big one out and it is smaller to store :D I got mine from Ikea for £4 :D

I am glad I am not alone then!! cos i have fabric under my bed in the ottoman, everywhere in the house and my craft room is 12 ft by 8 fully insulated shed with heating electrics and internet and its filled with beads, paper, paints, gadgets etc

I got a positive feedback on my rock dress and a lovely email from the buyer saying she loved it!! I was dreading getting my first negative feedback!
