Thanks for the tips rufusdog but I'm following the measurements given on crazymomquilts' blog. It is the square cut in two to make triangles which we have been doing. I hope to be bale to get on and do block number two today. I just had a look at it but I'm not sure if I'll have time because I've been so busy today (I've not, I've done absolutely nothing apart from having a lie in because I'm working tonight
).
Maybe I'll get it done in the morning?
Ooooh, someones just hit my wall outside. Horrible noise. More paint staining it now. Unfortunately, the car was a jag. Expensive. I got a positive feedback on my rock dress and a lovely email from the buyer saying she loved it!! I was dreading getting my first negative feedback!
That's great news Sharon:T
I have had bad feedback (before they changed feedback system) but not my faultI had one of those vindictive pigs that creat hell on ebay for the love of it but I had him as I called ebay help line and had him barred as he had been doing it to lots more sellers  but it stayed on my score for a year  but Im now 2646 with 100%, half of that is buying fabric
Kazdo you live on a bad corner? I have square 3 to do but I might do my 2 again as they didn't quite go right
I just tried to cut some fabric but my hand is still sore so I had to lay my arm on the ruler :rotfl: Im not doing anything else today must not push it yetGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Oh Hart, please don't overdo it. It would be terrible if the pain continued for longer than it needs to.
I have taped up my sewing machine as it doesn't have markings on it to show where the seams should go. It was a little tricky and I think that I will invest in one of those magnetic seam guides because it's got to be worth the £3.50 or so to save wasting fabric if I am trying to make other items too.
I went into the range last night and was looking at the pens and pencils but I forgot to pick one up. I do have some tailors chalk which I will use when I get round to quilting the whole thing together but I am really not sure what type of quilting to do.
What do you guys do? I would love to do the stippling design that crazymom does but I don't want to just charge in willy nilly (see I'm learning!).
WRT my road: we live at the top of a dead end and it's quite tight to turn up here. It's not usually a problem because people don't tend to come up here unless they are visiting but the road at the bottom has been shut at some stage today so lots of people are coming up here to try and turn around. They get to the top and don't know which way to turn and end up hitting my wall. One day, someone will probably knock it down. I just hope that I'm around and able to get their details when that happens so that I can claim it off their insurance. Although, what's the betting that my car insurance goes up the following year.
Having a big case of CBA today so I might just leave the quilting until tomorrow when I can be bothered. I reckon it's because I haven't done anything that I want to do less IYSWIM? I wanted to fit my new window frame last night so I could get on and make the blinds but it's so darn windy that I can't have the window open in order to clamp the blighters on. I'm really keen to get that bit done because then the room is nearly finished and it will be my first properly finished room in this houseDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
It's ok Kaz
Im not going to push it, I need to get my hand fighting fit for all the sewing I have to catch up on :rotfl: so will rest it this week and see how it goes next wk, I have another 3-4 wks off work so not rushing
When I lived back in Norfolk my house had a shared drive (new houses) and the end house had a garage near the road, one night some doppy nut decided he would try park in it :rotfl: as he was going so fast he had missed the bend
he wrote his car off and the garage had to be rebuilt. It made hell of a noise when he hit it

I need to stop buying fabric from abakhan and start looking at other places (or just stop altogether!) but it is hard to find prices that compare with their remnants plus they give student discount which is always welcome! I was looking at fabric online last night and pretty cottons are so expensive
Oh and if anyone is interested I went into quality save today and they had big self healing cutting mats for £3.49! I am going to go back this week and get one for when I have murdered mine because now I am home I regret not buying it.
