Im glad I couldn't make it to the quilting day in the village in April as I have just found out from a lady who went that they didn't know much and was disapointed, they also didn't tell any one they need you to bring your own sewing machine

No it was quite simple. I would do a few things differently so that the inside was lined as well. So I have cut one out in a piece of some other fabric to try. I think the first one took me about an hour and a half.
The little dress took around 3 or so hours. From cutting out to finish. (Once I added up all the odd times I managed to get to it today.) Thanks.:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Hi everyone, hope life finds you well.
I have been lurking in the shadowy corner. Our move is getting ever closer, 6 wks Sunday when we leave this lovely sunny island and move into our own house. Have a lot of emotions at the moment it will be a new chapter in our lives but the end of an era as me and the children finally start to settle down. DH is off to Saudi for two years, one heck of a commute lol.
Anyway I started teaching a sewing course last week just showing 7 lovely ladies how to make a bag or doorstop so I have had to blow the cobwebs off my machine as I hadn't sewn since November. I have managed to make a small bag and a Kindle sleeve for my daughter so she is a happy customer. They are easily pleased.
Best wishes to all, I will keep lurking.
