irishgirl, that dress is brilliant. Well done you. I bet your daughter's proud that she has a Mum who could just whip her something up to wear for one night out and she can then resell it (hopefully at far more than it cost in the first place!).
Midge, your quilts are lovely. How did you learn to do the actual quilting? I have watched a couple of videos and will have a bash but am going to get the quilt top done and assembled first (she says having not finished the second block yet!).Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

We have a home bargains here, I may pop down later to see if I can find the cutting mats.
Beautiful dress. Hope it sells well
Those quilts are good too.
I got the large cutting mat from Home bargains but i dont thin it's self healing as it still has big grooves in it from my rotary cutter? Has anyone else found this to happen to their HB cutting mats? xBlogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0 -
Finished DGD1's outfit this afternoon. Was at a review this morning so no sewing until around 2.15.
The trousers are still a bit long, but I made age 5 and she is age 3 afterall! But she will grow into them faster then I would like to admit, meanwhile I can always turn them up a bit. When I can prise them off of her!
I got my Cutting Mat from Hobbycraft last year. Its a large one too.
I got the cutter from there as well, but then I got a second cutter from a £ shop and its just working as well. (When I use it). But i use the board when i am cutting out patterns as well so its not wasted.
I have a Newey bias binding maker. Actually I found I have two large ones. I will have to see what size they are, then if someone else is interested maybe I can send it out. Cant see why I would need two the same. (My Mum gave me hers I think!) Either that or ebay it! But I dont have the instructions, so a tutorial link would have to go with it I suppose.
My interfacing and lining arrived today. I only ordered on Monday afternoon so thats good.
Chawla's I think. 2nd web link on the No chat thread about suppliers. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

The one I saw said self healing on the packet but then the one I have didn't say it on the packet. I have found with mine you can still see the grooves for a couple of hours but whenever I have gone back to look the next day there hasn't been any really noticeable marks.Getting married Wednesday 24th August 2011!
