Well done :T and have lots of fun with the fabric buy
Forgot to say Im going to have a go at this ideahttp://www.makeitandmendit.com/2010/11/21/make-a-quilt-from-old-shirts/
I had a look in the CS's this morning and have seen some realy nice shirts as they never seem to sell as well as the other clothes so they should be easy to buy and when my hand is sorted I can give it a goGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

I had thought of using shirt fabric for my quilt hart but clothes are ever so expensive at my local charity shops. Saying that though, I suppose it's still cheaper by the metre than cotton.
I ordered a metre of cotton last night from ebay and hope it'll arrive soon. Have DS home again today following the dentist. So have been playing scrabble. I need to stop buying fabric from abakhan and start looking at other places (or just stop altogether!) but it is hard to find prices that compare with their remnants plus they give student discount which is always welcome! I was looking at fabric online last night and pretty cottons are so expensive
Oh and if anyone is interested I went into quality save today and they had big self healing cutting mats for £3.49! I am going to go back this week and get one for when I have murdered mine because now I am home I regret not buying it.Getting married Wednesday 24th August 2011!

Well I was back at the sewing machine again today.
I finished off the hem of a pair of curtains that I bought off of Ebay, that are for my bedroom. They were a little short so I let the hem down and added some embroidery anglaise lace.
Then as I was playing around I decided to make a couple of cushion covers from my stash. so I used some Clarke and Clarke fabric again purchased from Ebay!. (Although sold to me as cath Kidston at the time.) along with some french fabrics, and some similar to the Curtains, also given to me.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

lovely cushions.
Been talking to mum about patchwork, and have decided as my throw on my settee (sits on the top to stop the wall and the settee rubbing together) is wearing thin, I'm going to have a go at making a patchwork one in teal and brown to match the wallpaper and if I'm really clever some cushion covers to match.
Then a patchwork Quilt in burgundy and cream ready for when my bedroom is re decoratedas I have burgundy and cream wallpaper
So if anyone comes accross any scrap material in those colours can you please let me know where?
