i bought some sparkly shoes in next today for my dd for dancing and on the way out of the shop we spotted this handbag which i thought would be a good size as a dancing bag.

Now its only £10 which i think is a good price but wondered if anyone knew of a pattern for something similar.

it has bias binding around the edges going up to the handles which are a kind of stiff webbing (dont know the proper name)

it was in pink but i cannot find that on the net.

i know i can buy the sequin fabric but where would i get pink webbing for the handles.

by the time i sourced and bought all the stuff it will probably cost me more than the £10 for the next bag!

Sarahjovi and Miss Pixie where do you get the waistband material from for your skirts? I looked in my local sewing shop for some and couldn't see any. I wouldn't have a clue what to google apart from elastic band but I don't think that would bring up what I want!

shirlgirl, fabricland have a variety of wide elastics. Try looking under wide waistband elastic on google?

I got mine from Abakhan (someone please keep me away from this place it is making me poor!) it is 75mm black elastic.

I am going to make a bag its been one my to do list (never made one before) can anyone tell me what size of the magnetic closure to get?

Nice fabric! It shouldnt really matter what size you get so long as its not huge compared to the size of your bag opening. Do you know what size of bag you plan to make?
