i love making home decor projects so when i saw these storage caddies in sew hip i knew i had to make some.
ive cut three out and just made this first one, they are a good size, app 10 inch high if you dont fold over the top by about 7 inch wide and 5 inch deep.
will have to try and make the others tomorrow.0 -

Very expensive but I was thinking along the lines of a crayon roll/roll-up drawing board for the boys on car journeys.
Lol:rotfl: most of the things on my to do list are never going to be made, it is that long:rotfl:
Never heard of chalk fabric, thank youNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -

it was a remnant i picked up at new year for about £6 and it was big enought to make two roman blinds at 45x45 for the bathroom and bedroom in our new holiday home.
the caddy needs 12x12 fabric and if you look closely you will see a join as my scrap leftover wasnt 12 wide, so had to use a join, ive probably got enough left to make another one the same size or slightly smaller if i wanted to.0 -
seths gran I have a janome quilting machine but its nowhere near that much - it does 60 stitches but no lettering-suspect thats what youre paying for. Have to say so far have only used the basic stitch lol! V happy with mine and it cost about 200...worth looking on ebay too as some people (believe it or not!) dont use theirs!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I am in the middle of making another Amelie bag for my cousin, they (3 now) have all pestered for one since I showed them my 1st one :rotfl:.
One cousin is in Canada, she fell in love with itI told her she will have to come collect it as postage would be more than the bag is worth :rotfl:
Hope you all have a great day and I will pop in every now & then to catch upGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Hart, I have bought the patterns off of the internet, but yet to make them, as I was away on holiday at the time. Need to set the printer up with some ink and paper and then I will be having a go at the Amelia bags.!
I have several projects to do, but with the nursery on holidays the opportunity to sew has been reduced to practically zero, as I am just too worn out in the evenings at the moment.
My son came and took half of his stuff, including the sofa bed from his room, so he is moving out proper. Intends to live with one of the twins. I see trouble ahead.
But I am going to use the room as a craft room until DGD is old enough to need a bigger room anyway!.
Its getting the help to set it all up, and get organised, as with my spine problems lifting is really very limited. (it shouldnt be at all, but then who listens to the doctors:o!).
I am so looking forward to getting creative on a daily basis again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
