Does anyone have a link for making the flowers on that fabulous passport cover?
That bag's fab, hmo! Don't suppose you have a link for the pattern? Not the Union Jack stuff, obviously, but I love the shape of the actual bag.0 -
There's some video tutorials on youTube if you put in 'fabric roses' in google. I wasn't sure what glue to use so put a few stitches in the one I made as I went along, thought it would help it stay together when being thrown around in my handbag! Thanks for your comments, it's encouraging x0

i didnt use a pattern i just worked it out myself its kind of like the buttercup bag but bigger
main fabric 15.5 x 7.5inch
top piece 13.5 x 2.5
lining & interlinning 13.5x 9.5
handle 23 x 3
1/4inch seam all round and add 2 x 1/2inch pleates on front main fabric to bring it back to 13.5
for the curved bottom i used a rotary cutter round a small side plate0 -
Thanks for the info hmo!
Does anyone know if I can use a rotary cutter on glass? To cut through fabric, not glass, hehe...0 -
I just want to sing the praises of my old sewing machine. It's a Singer 201k and was made in 1953. It only does a basic straight stitch but will go through any thickness of fabric like a hot knife through butter. I make dog hoodies and some of the fabric I use is very thick, I 'killed' my last 2 sewing machines making them. I can recommend the 201k to anyone wanting a basic machine.0
