    That looks fab hmo :)

You know the metal clip part how do you put them on? I have been wondering about them recently but I am not sure if you need lots of special (expensive!) things to do it.

    hi

you can buy the magnetic snaps easily i bought mine on line from the auction site.

they are easy to use, you can either make a very small button hole with your machine on both sides of your lining and insert them by hand and fold over the flaps to secure or

an easier way is to put the lining fabric right side together and using a sharp craft knife cut two small slits straight through both layers, doing it this make ensures they line up when closed.

then push each part through each piece and fold over the flaps.

    easy!

If you mean the magnetic snap things just inside the bag, I use this tutorial: http://www.warehousefabricsinc.com/blog/how-to-insert-a-magnetic-snap-into-a-bag/

I was just wondering, when you make things to sell on a stall etc how many of each do you make?

I am having a stall where i will be selling material etc and i want to make some things to sell too, to show people what they can do with recycled material etc

The 2 day show has 25 thousand plus through the gates

  • Hi, I hope you don't mind me dipping in. I find it hard to keep up with the speed that you all turn out your fabulous makes! Am still finding my feet in this sewing world. My auntie very kindly has lent me her sewing machine to see how I go, have made this passport cover

    http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4302/understanding-thread-tension

I found that same link late last night and it was what fixed it...also ended on 4:DIm not going to post my crayon roll that I made because it wasn't big enough in the hight for my tools and too small in the pockets for crayons because I made more pockets. Not sure what I'll do with it now but I guess its how we learn.

Ive ironed my sheets so that I can cut them later.
