Irish girl. Think the bit you might be trying to work out is the England cross. Try putting both white sections down first then add the red on top. HTH x
It looks lovely though, great colours and patterns.

    Wow, fabby makes everyone :D.
Pssst, ISOM, probably cheaper and easier than cutting card shapes to make that curlicue quilt...... http://www.templatesforpatchwork.co.uk/view-product.asp?ProductID=93
I may have slipped while I was on there and have a payment pending from my paypal account but DH's off playing golf with DS and DD's out so who's to know?
I am determined that I'm going to crack this no pinning sewing malarky! (It will probably kill me though first.
What do you use for your quilts ISOM, just jelly rolls or other stuff? I'm hoping to reuse fabrics for mine and found a good tip for making homemade starch spray which I will give a go as I have all the stuff in.
Wonder where the cheapest place is to get batting from?

ahh caz I sence a [STRIKE]partner in crime[/STRIKE] kindred spirit! At this rate you will be making it before me! Re mine I have so far got fabric specifically for projects but over time want to scour car boot sales and charity shops for deliciously cheap stuff! This quilt I bought fabric and cut it all (thank goodness for my mat and rotary cutter...there were masses of them!); the first one I did was precut squares and the one ongoing is a jelly roll which Ill mix with plain cream fabric...hexagon quilt is a mix of fat quarters - some in stash and a few new ones. HTH! :D

Some lovely things there - love the Navy Blue cushion in the bottom picture hmo!

Avstar - really like your pincushions. As I have been sorting the girls too small clothes out, I have been putting the ones with useable and pretty fabrics to one side for little projects instead of sending to the CS or bootying - am spending my time cutting them into useable pieces and storing away. Am hoping to turn them into some patchwork/applique cushion covers for their beds when we do their room out next year for bigger beds.

The pic below is of a silk painting I did on an NCFE?? course in Textiles a few years ago - I was going to turn it into a cushion cover but don't think it would stand up to the use so was going to have it framed as a wall hanging, need to wash it though as the girls have been using it on the dolls bed:eek:. Can't really see what else to do with it - the colours are so much brighter in reality.
