Hello, I'm looking for some help, please. My daughter has asked me to ask you if anyone knows of any web sites that have a good selection of nursery fabrics. She's particularly looking for a beige gingham as she wants to make a new little one some bunting as his nursery is decorated in beige and duck egg blue. I'm sure there's a better description for beige
milky coffee???
Thanks! Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Nursery fabrics here. You should be able to pick up gingham in most fabric shops if you have any near you. If not there is some here and here0 -
Jamsandwich - your artwork is just gorgeous!
Pootle - love your new cushions, I think the colours go together so well that it doesn't matter the design is busy, its still easy on the eye if you know what I mean.
Thansk for the nice comments about my strawberries
I originally wanted to make a mouse pincushion....but I changed my mind cos it seemed cruel to stick pins in it, don't mind with fruit :rotfl: 0 -
Pootle

I have started cutting out my fabric for my bag and have sorted all my scraps of fabric ready to make either a scrappy quilt or use the bits for hexies but then again I love the postage stamp quilt too

Sorry missed thanking ISOM for showing the beautiful hexies

Afternoon everyone
Been awol for a while as I have a bad leg and didnt really feel like sewing, couldnt use the sewing machine and couldnt stand up to cut out or anything really. Today I felt a little better and decided I would have a go at something.
Kept looking at the second denim quilt I did as I didnt think it looked girly enough for my youngest niece so today I cut out some fabric circles and sat and made some yoyos and sewed them on with some pretty coloured buttons. I have taken a pic but have not yet got it on my blog, hopefully will do it tomorrow.
Also managed to stitch up a skirt I had cut out for my granddaughter from some tshirt fabric I had left over from one of my tops. Its come out nice so happy with that too.
Then I got the paper sewing pattern out I bought the other day to make her some more bits and pieces. It has a nice summer top with straps and a pair of shorts with it so thinking I might make her a white top to go with the skirt and put a bow on the front in the tshirt fabric to make it into a set. Cut out all the bits of pattern that I need for the top and also for the shorts so I can do some more.
My SIL gave me a big bag of fabrics yesterday that she didnt have any use for, there were some lovely bits in there so I have more than enough work to get on with. I have tired myself out today doing that little bit but will try to get a bit more done tomorrow and then get some photos done and update my blog.
Love all the makes over the last few days, very talented people on this thread, keep the pics coming, Rufus xx0 -

Thank you PootleFlump, these are great links as my daughter is like me lives in the backwaters of nowhere, miles from decent fabric shops. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

I'm a long-time lurker and I'm gatecrashing this thread today to show you a fabulous piece of fabric art that I commissioned the lovely Pennib to do for me - it is fantastic and I am so pleased with it!
It was inspired by the Regatta pictures that I found on her blog, but I asked her to make me a picture of a village on a mountainside, like the one where I live.
In case anyone is worried about breaking forum rules, I know Pennib from another forum we both use, and the transaction was done entirely via that forum and email.
The first pic below is the whole thing and then the next four are parts of the picture that I especially love!
