quilt top is finished! Hurrah! Now just need to do the back and sandwich the layers before the hard part starts!!
Next project is this;

Like the 9 patch of it as it matches the quilt I made for mum and will do it with remnants of her fabric so she'll have a matching door stop for her room!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

We have been gifted a sewing machine via my MIL, my dd 15 asked to borrow hers to do a school project on and was told to keep it as she has never used it in the 6 years she has had it.
Now comes the problem, neither of us can sew/ use machine can anyone point us in the right direction of simple patterns to try and learn the basics.
Many thanks xxxx0 -

OH is going to go into the loft later and get all my fabric boxes out - he doesn't know yet but he won't get his home-made thai curry if he doesn't:D
I got some lovely fabrics in Jersey last May - will make lovely bags and will have enough left after I have made my bathroom blind - I love making cushions though so may forsake the blind after all, we haven't had one up for nine years anyway!!!
Came back as I realised I had been rude - sorry - you are all very inspiring and it is this thread which has whet my appetite for crafts again - love all your pics and blogs but it does create a bit of a problem as I don't only have 'one' craft and really need to narrow down what I concentrate on ;-) I think OH despairs slightly as one week there was silk painting stuff all over, then my sewing machine is out and then papercrafts!!
