Am looking for some inspiration. I am going to be making a gardening hamper for Christmas 2010 and I have found some gorgeous garden fabric. I am a sewing novice, so could anyone suggest something easy that I could make to be included as I'd love to use this fabric?
How about a gardening apron or tool belt?Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Im in ...I love sewing and plan to do a lot more of it this year. My cousin is having a baby in May so I would like to make blankets etc. I have 2 machines a domestic and an industrial though I have'nt used the industrial yet....it looks too scary!!! I got that for hemming denims as they never seem to go under the domestic, especially at the side seams.0

Hiya
The strawberry is stuffed with toy stuffing, I always have a big bag of the stuff as I make a lot of sock monkeys:D I did add the scent to the stuffing but the drops tended to just sit on top and not soak inso now I just put a few drops on the leaf. I make my leaves out of felt and the drops of oil just seem to soak in. Another thing I do now is only make the leaf out of one piece of felt instead of sewing 2 together as in my pic. It's alot quicker and easier and I think it looks better:D

Great thread, count me in! I have a pile of stuff ready to sow. Got a big peice of denim to make aprons and some blank cotton bags to decorate. Liked Kirstys patchwork from the Christmas show so am going to have a go at it because its a lot faster than handsown patchwork. Keep up with the great ideas guys, love the crayon roll!Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
