Wow, rufusdog what a fantastic picture!

Thanks Georgia, glad the link worked, yes the poem is hand embroidered but the picture is machined except for the faces. The girl on the right with the glasses is me lol. My youngest sister just came on line and I sent her a copy and she said straight away is that baby me lol so she knew who it was meant to be.

 I have been quietly following this thread, there are a lot of talented people out there.

I have been quietly plodding, and this week I finally got my craft room. there is still room for improvement I need some shelves and more storage.

I have also signed up to folksy :D best thing I have done in a while.

I have sold 3 of my bags that have been sat there for months.

I have started facebook http://www.facebook.com/LCGCreations I am running a giveaway, where if I get 300 people to like me then I will give away one of my bags, winners choice, from my folksy shop. I will cover postage costs.

Well done on setting it all up Louise, do you find you get many customers on Folksy? I might give this a go one of these days xx

I've liked you on FB. Those bags are lovely.

I'm interested to know about Folksy too, had a quick look last week and not really sure what to make of it.

Bexterwhoo your DD's dress is so gorgeous!

Rufus, the embroidered picture is wonderful - I'm sure it will be so special to your brother as it has such personal meaning - I love gifts like that.

Nykied, my mum makes 50's pencil skirts and the waistband is always cut parallell to the selvedge so on pinstripes they would be horizontal across the waist.

Still haven't been to collect my freebie fabric from other halfs friend as they're both busy, but a friend at work donated some fabric to me after having a clearout, her husband is a builder and the fabric was stored with some bags of plaster.....its a bit whiffy to say the least!:rotfl:I've washed it (pre-shrunk now so thats good:)) and its hung outside to air off - hopefully will smell a bit better now. Think I'll make some grocery bags with some of it, as long as it doesn't make my veggies smell like a builders yard!

All this talk of quilts is giving me itchy fingers to try one but I'm not sure I have the patience or staying power to do so! I like projects that I can finish over the course of a couple of evenings. Plus my mum is an avid quilter and has already made my dd one, and is in the process of making another for her big girl bed. It might be seen as stepping on her toes if I were to make one!

Congrats Mooloo on the bids! I'm quite surprised at handmade things selling on Ebay, and I really hope that you manage to get decent prices for them. I'd love to see them but I'm guessing it would be against forum rules to link??

Anyway, I've just finished another dress for my dd for her cousins' birthday party this weekend. The pictures don't do the fabric justice, it's a gorgeous light beige/cream 100% linen. Not the most practical for a toddler's dress but I love it and she'll only wear it for special occasions!

Lovely dress! I love the appliques.

I'm in a tutu making mood, which is a bummer because I used the last of my stash. But I actually made 2 and sold them to friends so I am very pleased with myself :D

I'm now on the lookout for bright funky fabrics for summer dresses for DD (18 months).

Oh and I also made a raggy doll. It still needs clothes and hair but its been getting dragged about all day so she must like it. :rotfl:
