    Those cushions look fabulous!

I can't decide what to sew this weekend I have been doing one thing every weekend so far but I have lots of things I would like to do and not enough time or decisiveness :(

  • Chatty ~ Those cushions are lovely:)

Just thought I would let you know I ordered from online fabrics yesterday and my order came today! fantastic service and really cheap too. :)

I did order some clear vinyl that didn't arrive, I wasn't charged for it though and have emailed to ask what happened this evening. Was looking forward to the vinyl arriving too as I wanted to try making some I spy bags lol.

Anyway just thought I'd update in case anyone was unsure about ordering from them. I will be ordering again.:D

  • Hi All, I'm slowly but surely working my way through this thread.. its taking weeks!

My sewing machine is dusted off... I've got it set so the tension is fine... (still don't know how to do anything apart from straight and zigzag but I'll read the dusty instructions!)

I have a question... Today I went into the Laura Ashley shop... a single duvet in the sale was £18 down from £50, the same material was £18 a metre... the assistant said that bedding material is softer and fabric off the roll is better for any sewing projects...

Was she right or was it that she thought I'd buy more material off the roll? (I didnt buy any as knew I had good old MSE and this thread to ask) thank you.

    Hi Gina :D
you can use duvet covers (I do) they are a bit softer but still give good results :D
I mostly duvets and sheet from charity shops but I do buy fat quarters I get from ebay or one of the online fabric shops when Im doing something special :D
If you have a look on my homepage you will see some patchwork quilts and bits I have made with bargain stuff I have found in the C.S's (sometimes they have fabric) well worth a look in your local :D and very MSE :D
