I love your bag too henna :D I just love sewing the buttercup bags, they are quick to do (but my 1st one took nearly all day to do :rotfl:)
I did one yesterday and another cut out ready to sew but not todayas I will be too busy :(

Pootle, I must make that pleated bag you made a while back, it's lovely :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

SNAP! took me most of yesterday - about an hour of it was trying to work out how to attach the top piece! in desperation i searched buttercup bag on you tube and somebody had done a video tutorial! thank god!

Now i know I hope the rest will come together easier! I managed to get a dress pattern for 50p today in a CS, does anybody know the best place for dress fabrics?

I cant wait for car boots to start up again so i can rummage around for things to alter and rip off buttons etc to start getting a stash!

    Thanks

Me too :D C.S's are ok but they are getting a bit pricey lately :(
When I started sewing last yr I went to C.S's for sheets and duvet's to cut up, also brought some fabric off ebay when I started getting better :D
The 20 yards of fabric I brought from a C.S last week was only £15, I think a local curtain shop had a clear out so it's well worth popping into your local shop when you can. I have had a lot of small fabric bits and shower curtains, which make great washbag liners, in mine :D
Also try the curtain shops, they sometimes have remnants and sample books for next to nothing :D

    Evening all,

I got round to making my own labels for when I make things last night - it was more of a trial run and I need to do some handmade with love ones - can't think of the wording I want though - any advice/ thoughts would be gratefully received..

Did you really have to post this link???:rotfl: My basket is filling up fast here!

Thanks though there's lot's of good priced fabric here.

Just thinking the same! I could be so tempted. Can seeDGD in some little dresses out of these fabrics! But I promised myself that I would make a dent in my stash first!.

I made a teacosy today. Just a quick sew, as I hadnt sewn in a while, and BF wanted one for his new teapot.!

Need to load picture onto host site first!
