Lovely makes Sue (you know how I love your purses - the one you kindly sent me is used on a daily basis :))

Rikki, you could try this site. Loads of bags although mostly casual but there are some clutches and evening bags on it.

Thank you Claire :D Im glad the purse is holding out :rotfl: I do worry things I make will fall apart :o

Mooloo :D great to hear you have your machine back agin :D

I am trying VERY hard not to look at any fabric sellers untill I have used some of what I already have :( Im obsessed with fabric and Im spending too much of my wages on the stuff :o
I am waiting on this to arrive though Vilene LAMIFIX (Gloss) x 1/2 mtr - Fusible Waterproof from ebay, the seller (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Lost-Arts-Crafts) couldnt be more helpful. You iron it on the outside of your fabric to make it wipeable so ideal for wash bags :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Hi :D my 1st one was from Tesco Direct (this one http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-0145.aspx) and it was great :D I worked it hard and it performed well. I made a lot of patchwork items (quilts and cushion covers) also bags with mine and it has not let me down, if fact it has now gone to my sister as she has got the sewing bug now :rotfl:
I only started sewing this time last year :D
My OH brought me a new machine for christmas as I want to do more (and he was stuck for gift ideas for me).
I think the others guys on here will give you some more options and help too :D

HI - I have been reading the thread for a while! currently on page 229!! I havent done much sewing, made a make up bag for a friend and have just made a buttercup bag for another friend, you may think its odd material but she has chickens and ducks so thats why i chose it!

so now need something else to try! I will make her a doorstop with the rest of the chicken material and want to make a shopping bag too.

henna123, that's absolutely gorgeous! Your friend will love it - I'd love it if it were my gift and I don't even have chickens and ducks!
