I did one of those at a workshop once, you start at the top 'poles' and work towards the middle, then rotate and do the same, you cover the join at what I would call the equator with a band of ribbon and the 'north and south poles' [the starting places are covered by a big sequin, a snow flake looks good.
Takes a load of pins, as you pin each triangle point into a poly ball.

    Hi nykied :D
This is one I have in my Fav's list (very long list) of things I want to make :) hope it's what you are looking for :)

I have just found a few more tutorials, you have to put purse organizer into Google and it comes up with some better tutorials :)

Thanks Hart44, that's exactly the one I remembered - I remember the 'Do not post any more comments' bit on it ;)

They only sell by the meter, I asked them last time I was in. They do have a remenints bin. She will have a look for brighter fabrics but tbh, the shop is so out of the way and our local town is dying so I don't blame them for only stocking the basics.

FQ were only because they are the exact size of the front (or back) of the summer dresses I've been making up.

Today however, I discovered funky pillow cases :D So tonight after my homework (I'm a student as well as a mum) I made a good start on a shirred pillowcase dress for DD. 4 for £4 from asda, some left over patterend fabric and I have a minimum of 4 dresses plus extra fabric for sun hats (from a pattern) and hair bands.

They are missing out on customers then! Oh well, thats the way of the world sometimes. narrow sighted and stuck in the past!

I use pillowcases as well. Made DGD a dress last year, and my aprons for children are often pillowcases. I find them in charity shops for as little as 10p quite often.

    I HAVE MY MACHINE BACK< :T:T
    its like new!
I am excited to be able to sew again.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

haven't ordered from them before abd delivery is £5.95 regardless of how much is ordered.
