Could someone please give me a bit of assistance in putting a pic on the thread?

I have opened a Flickr account and have put a pic of a quilt on there. How do I then put that pic in my post?

Thanks for any help - I've never put a photo on any post on any forum before!

    Cuddles - they're lovely!

amymac - i use flickr and i just simply click on the photo with 'cut' and then 'paste' into this box here. others use the code but that confuses me. Depending on your flickr privacy settings you can either do it from the photo itself (i cant), or take a smallish version from your photostream, found at the 'YOU' tab at the top, or click on the photo to go it the photo page, then under 'ACTIONS' click 'all sizes' then choose a medium one to copy and paste into here.

    good luck!!!

well i went round to my friends for some sewing this afternoon and only got one patchwork block cut! too much gossiping! :rotfl:

23rdspiral - thank you so much for your help. I hope the pic comes out OK, it is a mat I made for my grandson to play on when he was just able to sit up. It was my first attempt at patchwork, made entirely out of my fabric stash.

I think a had a 'blue period' for quite a number of years - this is another one made from my stash and there is a sheet in there that I can date to having bought in 1980!

Have you seen this thread?? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2766466

I suggest you have a look and even follow her blog, LOADS of great ideas! Almost wish I had seen it earlier and got myself organised and made myself some money to recover the costs of all my hobbying over the years!
Oh my...thanks Tamster...spent the whole afternoon reading it...amazing!!

Love your quilts amymac and your scented pockets cuddles123, wonderful work!!

I am so excited about making yet more stuff...but all tuckered out now...this asthma has a lot to answer for. Only two days left of the steroids...but a few more of antibiotics...at least I have an excuse to sit down at the computer!!

I can't do any sewing yet as I can't wear my glasses as my sinises are still sore...but I can knit..so off to the warmth of the sitting room and the wood-burning stove..our boiler has broken...waiting for the gas man to get back to us :(.

    Night, night all.

That's a lovely quilt. I'm still stuck with the wadding so ground to a halt.

Thanks Pennib. Are you stuck stuck or is it a bit you don't like doing? I only first had a go at quilting less than a year ago and have really only used what I already have in fabric, then I don't have to worry if it has little mistakes.

The wadding is the thinnest one from Dunelm Mill - I used a thicker one on another quilt and found it really difficult to work with even though I have a walking foot for my sewing machine.

I've also stuck to quilts no bigger than the width of the wadding, as I have no idea what to do if I make a quilt top bigger than that :rotfl:
  • Im jealous of all your makes - still waiting for my spare part to turn up!

Im a bit lost tonight as it is the Hubby's footie night so I usually get lots of sewing done.

Will just have to go blog-hopping! :rotfl:
