That is beautiful, well done :T:T
  • Love the bird!! I definitely want to have a go at that pattern when I get my bum in gear!

That hair scared me a bit too! It's like some kind of sinister threat getting that through the post!!

Thanks for the crochet link Kandi (?) - something else to attempt!

    Wow, the bird is beautiful.

The hair is scary looking though! I'm sure it's lovely.

I feel like a bit of a lurker, as I've still not got the sewing machine out ... but I will soon!

Kandipandi, thanks for that, have had a look and will give it a go again! I think watching someone else rather than trying to follow pictures in a book will be much easier.

PepPop , if you're still looking for projects using old t shirts, have just read the current issue of Sew Hip magazine and they have a pattern for boxer shorts from old t shirts!!

I did a bit of googling and found a way you could sew strips of t-shirts into a big long one and them crotchet it into a bath mat. His t-shirts are really rubbish so I think i'll try that in the mean time. I'm gonna search the charity shops at the weekend to see if I can find some nice shirts to start my quilt with. :j
I'm still knitting gloves for the girl I work with - I can't wait to get them finished as I've got soo many ideas for sewing now.

Im loving your birdie too, but as a nutty suspicious person I don't like having birds in the house. Perhaps I can make some and give them away.

Ive been on a sneaky visit to Boyes on the way back from a meeting at work and stocked up on ribbons and fleece and buttons etc, so I have no excuse to get cracking now!
