Shelley3774 - It is for all us fabric geeks! Hahaha, i just dont realise it. I did a little sewing course in Leeds, and some of the people there were struggling to get cheap material locally, there is Samual Taylor there, but its really expensive. The only other option there is the Market.

I must be very lucky where i live, we have a shop in town called A Pound a Yard! They have some lovely fabrics (and some not so lovely!!) for a £1 a yard, ive used some of the fabric to just practice on, but they have nicer fabrics in there aswell, more expensive but still fairly cheap. They have a website but it doesnt look like its working, thought that maybe you guys could order over the phone from him, they are really nice, helpful people there. poundayard.co.uk

We also have Skopos, and they have a gorgeous shop in an old mill, its lovely, all the gorgeous fabrics, but really expensive (to me anyway who is a bargain fabric hunter only!) - however, they have a remnant attic, and you can pick up some cheap rolls of material. My favourite part is the bargain boxes, they have big pieces of nice material for £1, sometimes 50p!!! Love it.

There is also Leeds Market, ive not been myself, but my friend goes all the time, she loves it there, and only buys £1 - £1.50 a metre fabrics, they dont do fabrics much more expensive than that, and she has had some really nice fabric from there.

Ooooh we also have fabworks too! Its a big mill with hundreds of different fabrics http://www.fabworks.co.uk/ (its a big mill, and much better than the pic on site)

I just take it for granted that these places are there!

Love those shops but I have too much fabric (well the OH thinks so). I've been busy making these.

Sorry came out large and am supposed to be leaving for school. Will post pics later.

They are party bags for DDs party tomorrow (jungle theme) and then a dress for DD to wear. It just needs some leopard print fabric to use as a belt.

arh, just lost my post. http://www.skiptomylou.org/2009/11/09/fabric-luggage-tags/ managed to make these last night. I had to think outside the box, no idea what Freezer paper is, but I used my bondaweb! Ironed it to a piece of fabric cut A4 size. Brought up some labels on the printer, and ran it through! Fingers were crossed, so were my toes I think! But it worked. I had printed onto the fabric.!!
So dispite having a really bad arm this week, I have made a pouffe out of recycled fabrics, following a tilda book idea, and 2 pouches from one of the links given here, and now 2 luggage tags ready for holidays next week. Cannot post a picture at the moment. Will need to see about how to work the photo programme or my details would be on the site for all to see!!
have printed a sheet with details for BF as well, and will make him a couple of tags out of a more geometric pattern then my florals!.
